thx bonapart,
updating to PR.1.3 was necassary,
so now i´ve the "problem" like Fredook,
i did not know how to chmod ...
i´ve tried GPE Filemanager, to get to home/opt/psx4m,
but if i try to copy a blank file, filled with 21 Zeros Line after Line, named "keys" i didnt have the permissions to do so ...

can you give us a list hint?

u need to use file box to move the key file to /home/opt/psx4m
then u need to go to xterm and type root then hit enter then type
chmod 777 /home/opt/psx4m/key
asumeing u have rootsh installed as well as file box thats what i did and works great

thx, worked great!

i´ve used psx4all 0.3.9 before,
i could play for example Kula World very well,
so, using psx4m with this decent gui was the first time for me using psx4m, is it normal, that fps/speed is not that great, despite, cycling, frameskip maximum etc.?

i´ve installed power kernel, 900mhz btw.

dont put cycle mult high 2 or 3 should give best results unlike psx4all where 7 to 10 worked better (im going with final fantasy 7 here)
and as for the key file you have to make it yourself i used leafpad and just saved it as it is

argh, i create gui, but also i make some changes in psx4m core(like new keys and abbey fix) or nobody need this?

I didn't see the 'key file' in the beginning.
For me helped this:
Now I can change the key config :)

psx-gui create file if not exist,but looks like some ownership\permission throubles in deb package is wrong
in fact i'm not sure that they should work, they was disabled by smoku by some reason(realy i have "Segmentation fault" when trying to save)
save file is one for all games and it placed in /opt/usr/psx4m/savestate(gui isn't check permission of file)

Airtux: all have R2 key two times(they are different,just spell mistake)
fullscreen is possible, but i will not try to do it, because it will make an influence of FPS,while emulator not at full speed such decreasing fps will be really bad

Airtux: sound still lagging at 1.1Ghz so not full speed yet...
some games show more speed and less lagging but other can lag, some games still not running at all...
maybe somebody can create games compatibly list at wiki with preferred overclock values,cycle multipliers and frameskip?

Bonapart. This current version does not appear to be running the bios file as part of the launch. As a result most games run very poorly. I am unsure as to why this is. I have made sure to have the bios file located in the directory specified by your wiki.

psx4m from version 0.4.2 always use bios located in MyDocs, so my gui always start psx4m with extarnal bios( you can read changelog at maemo-package view)

Yep - I am aware of that - however despite having the bios file in MyDoc and despite the -runcd flag being present - I am not shown the bios screen when the game first loads as I was in previous versions of psx4m.

The screen I am talking about is the white screen with the playstation logo that used to load before the game. A sound would also play. This was the indicator that the bios file had loaded.

I will attempt to do an strace on psx4m to see where its looking for the bios.

bonapart, about that full screen mode: maybe add it as an option? For fast games like Final Fantasy VII it would be sweet :)

You think you could do something about it?
I'm not asking about full sound, but eg. in FF8 sound keeps looping in few moments(and it causes my ears to bleed :D ) and I have to pause for a moment to fix it. What do you think?

Delete the memory slots and it should be fixed. It was solved in this thread :rolleyes: Use the search function next time.

I can add a few games, but what should I do over there? Add those games in comments?

Okay so its been about a year since this project has been going on.....whats the verdict? Are the games working properly? if so which 1s? Ive already flicked back a few pages here but all i keep seeing problem related messages.

Some update on this would be nice considering there are almost 200 pages on it.

Magik: i'll try to make this changeble. in googlecode used general wiki-formating, so i doesn't see any problem to create a new page with game compatible list

badboyuk: yes it work, from first release. but still unstable, not all games compatible. i tried NFS3,Soul edge, red alert, dune 2000 it's worked near perfect(some sound lagging, 90% of normal fps sometimes), tekken3 is slowly to normal game, thps4 with broken textures ,Fighting Force not started at all... (also it was tried with one repack and one bios, original rip from cd and other bios can make emulator work as need)

BONAPART with psx4m .042 or psx4m 0.43 game with cycle 3-4 frameskip 8 run all games very good speed 950mhz cpu. but artifacts.

full screen please, pcsx had full screen but was slow it.

but create please one version with full screen , with psx4m i think that it will run well.

and ps3 sixaxis ?? in psx4all 0.39 yes but in psx4m not . please add this option .

and i have pr 1.3 and psx4m 0.43-1 and psx 0.3 gui and permisions denied and with filebox i saw and nothing file in where must be the keys file.

and why every second man just want?? i am usual man with usual work and without a lot of free time, it's my hobby, nothing more. i have no ps3 joystick so i will not make support of this becouse i can't test it(anyway it can work if properly configured).

Bon - managed to get a trace of the latest version. It does in fact appear to be opening the bios file. As to why it no longer displays the playstation bios screen etc - I am not sure.

samipower what sixaxis option? You connect sixaxis to your n900 and assign the keys with your joypad -_- left on pad is left arrow, right is right arrow, z on n900 keyboard is X, x on keyboard is a circle etc.
It works 100% with psx4m 0.4.3 . Please don't troll.

i have installed sixaxis driver app in my nokia n900, i put on bluetooth in n900 and press button central in ps3 pad , ok n900 and pad conected , i know it.

but now what steps i follow??

how i configurate it, how assign the keys??

the n900 have not menu for assign keys, and into emulator not exist ,

or you tried different builds of psx4m 0.43 (beli build, my tgz, 0.4.3 in repos, 0.4.3-1 in repos)
