I don't get it. What do you mean by "2 hours"?

Hi James, I'd like to overclock my N900 because at the moment its sluggishness is pissing me off. I saw your post and had to ask, how can you get this to work with the recent update? I'm able to install rootsh but when I try and install the advanced kernal i get conflicts on a number of maemo-kernal type things.

What am I missing?

I see you mentioned Joikuspot with the overclocking kernel. Are you having problems with Joikuspot? I am. The program looks normal on the N900, but my laptop is not finding the WLAN connection. At first I thoght it was a problem after the update to PR1.3. I asked on another thread, and it looks as if the problem is non-compatibility with Joiku and the Enhanced Kernel. Help ?!!

I tried what I am calling the steady-state oc setting mentioned by Jakiman above, only with 850 mHz, and it is a noticeable improvement. Hope my N900 isn't adversely affected, I'm hoping to keep it for awhile...

Im not. The pocket heater... I mean N900 serves its purpose very well in these cold finnish winters.

Sarcasm. 2hours is absolutely horrible battery life.

@Lehto : Does it make any sense to run the device at 1Ghz or more fixed ? (Unless you wish to have incredible 2 hours battery life or a pocket warmer)
