Re: Canola2 on Portrait Mode
The portrait mode, is the orientation for us to choose? Like, I would like the top side of the portrait be the side with the buttons (or rotateclockwise).

Re: Canola2 on Portrait Mode
Technically, at least, that would be a free choice; I see no reason why INdT would try to limit it.

Re: Canola2 on Portrait Mode
Yeah, you can do that, I just chosed one to demonstrate :) it doesnt matter for canola :)

Re: Canola2 on Portrait Mode
@benson : yeah, not at all, this is up to the user :) as I said, we have plans to make sure things rotate automatically when needed (video etc) and if the user needs to rotate on maemo, they can use the plugin,.
We are just out of time to focus on that, but once we reach the point that we've planned for canola2 (3 or 4 weeks maximum) we can take a look and do the theme / modifications at least as experiments, and if users want to go there and flash the kernel to try out :) Marcelo |
Re: Canola2 on Portrait Mode
I know, i figured I would just check. Some softwares have a switch to portrait where they choose the orientation for you.

Re: Canola2 on Portrait Mode
I would definitely use a feature like this. Please release! :)

Re: Canola2 on Portrait Mode
Hi Languid : is not about releasing (as you can do it with the instructions posted) but the question of : you need to flash your kernel, use a patch in xomap etc, things that we (canola) cannot do for you :/

Re: Canola2 on Portrait Mode
So if we do flash the kernal and patch it, what are you guys doing in Canola? Are you redesigning it so it'll be cleaning in portrait mode?
