just for arguments sake, if one really wanted a hub style slot, then the choice is compactflash. it's a 'real' ATA interface, is sturdy, available in sizes up to 100GB, has sd adapters, and people who have more advanced cameras also have CF and not SD. and we havent even mentioned sony people with their funny sticks. so back to square one, it's all about "what are my devices like" and "how big can it get".

Re: Which IT device do you own?

I currently have none - sold my 770 about a year ago, and a pickpocket in Stockholm got the N810 last month. On the upside, that made one decision easy for me; I'll be buying the new NIT as soon as it's available.

As for memory, I'm happy with microSD(HC), as I've switched my camera and audio recorder over to microSDHC - 8G in the camera and 16G in the recorder. The adapter stays in the camera, and the card is quick to swap. For my purposes, it's a great solution.

There is hardly any chance that Nokia would ship any other storage solution other than microSD with the RX-51 from their recent history, other than the rumor that its a bigger device than the N810. As wazd said its better to have a robust usb host mode which doesn't require the need for a hub for data transfer and other connections than a specific card solution.

i'm a big fan of this poll. hard to believe it hasn't been conducted before. very useful data. if it were up to me, i'd make it a "sticky". :)

I would never buy a device without removable media.

I vote for 7 full-size SD slots. You know, just in case. ;)

Nope. We would definitely need a PCI Express x16 2.0 slot.

Or 3.

Dozen. ;)

And answering the poll, I have a N810.

There is a converter to CF for them. CompactFlash it is!
