I am in the same boat. But I had to use the NSU today to reflash the N900, and its been stuck at 1 second remaining...FOR ALMOST 20 MINUTES!!

And the Maemo Flasher didn't work at all! Pretty pissed now. Afraid to remove the device and render it a brick before the flash is finished, so I'll just let it stay connected to the PC until it rots...

No Problem with PC-Suite here. Replaced E65 with N900.
Synced. All fine. Found no problem so far. I use BT to sync as my Laptop has builtin BT.

oh, its just fine for syncing. Flashing is another story. I actually think it is Vista that causes the issues. I'd used Phoenix for flashing Symbian back in the day. Linux and CLI worked like a dream, though.
