Re: N900 FM Radio Calling
Maybe I should work this out further, will have a look at it this weekend what I can implement.
phonenumber as rds text should be simple with the fmtx_client. Does someone know if it is possible on the n900 to activate the speaker programmaticaly? I found a solution for maemo but this isn't working for n900 |

Thanks, this helped me!
I made some progress:
So in fact the fm-carkit is doing what it supposed to be doing, act as a carkit :) Next step is a nice widget or adding a profile to the phone settings. Again, source is attached for people interrested. I will look into adding this to the repositories, so it can be installed with application manager. |
Re: N900 FM Radio Calling
Incoming calls works perfectly, except for the number in rds. So maybe I will change this to the radio station name as the phonenumber.

Re: N900 FM Radio Calling
Dont suppose someone could point me in the direction on how to make an usable file from the source can they?
Thank you in advance! |
Re: N900 FM Radio Calling
you have to compile the source within for example a scratchbox environment, and copy the created binary to your phone.
You can compile the source with the 'make' command. Tommorow I will spent some time to create a .deb package. |
Re: N900 FM Radio Calling
Looks like another very cool project is beginning :) Hope to see a GUI version soon.
Send me a PM if you need any help (or if you're just too lazy :P) about packaging. |

Thanks to Aranel, helping me packing the fm-carkit application.
I haven't tested it without the patched version of fmtxd, so I will do that and if it's not working then I add this to the todo list. Todo: - (Automaticaly patch fmtxd from a settings screen) - Speed up configuring the sound settings, sometimes it takes up to 8 seconds after a call is intiated - GUI |
