Re: Can't change theme...
What he says is correct.
First we have to uninstall the meego theme The open x-terminal and run as root If u have the cute xplorer u will find in /opt/usr/share/themes/beta a file called meegotouch and another one in /opt/usr/share/themes/plankton. Confirm first if this files are in this directories or even another ones. Then to remove then u cant do it from cute xplorer, thats why i said first to open x-terminal as root To remove them type: "rm -r /opt/usr/share/themes/base" and the same for the other one and voilá now u can change themes again. It worked for me. |
Re: Can't change theme...

Re: Can't change theme...
I had this situation too, tapping the theme button did nothing although personalisation_app (sudo) still worked.
None of the suggestions in the thread worked but I found my solution: press the "restore original settings" and typed in the code 12345, after rebooting the theme button worked again. So another 2 hours of restoring my setting but at least I didn't have to reflash which will waste 5 hours. Possible causes of the problem: maybe installing new kernel, CSSU updates, dunno. Haven't added any new themes, widgets or icons since last reflash. |
Re: Can't change theme...
You can't install a new theme if there is something blocking the way (like a current or default theme). Think of it that way. I know that when I do the same thing with my email marketing software I have to go in and move the theme that is in place before I activate a new one, although Maemo gives much cooler options that that as far as themes go. Good luck to you.
