Writing about purge, may we have an option to purge rather than just remove?
HA

PS. I searched thread for purge so if someone has mentioned this already, sorry

Re: [Announce] Faster Application Manager

not working for me. Got error code 100 and /root/.fapman directory non found in my device. The catalogs list is doubled and only one half is selected. I tried also to select one catalog and the catalog update seem to work but when a try to install/upgrade applications the program report "Operatin in progress - Updating catalog" and nothing appear since I get the above error or i stop manually the application by task manager (nothing appear pushing "X" in top right corner).

I left the updating working for more than 30mins and my device was burning

It's incredibly slow. apt-get does it in 10 seconds.

Also, CPU is under heavy usage during this time, it's not my link. And I'm at 900MHz.

ETA: updating repos is fast. upgrade apps bites.(N900 post)

Winningest app name EVER!

I guess the app is useful too :)

Re: [Announce] Faster Application Manager

It seems that QProgressBar has very poor performance and hogs all the CPU while the "operation in progress" screen is showing. Guess that slows the whole update thing down. Will be better in the next version.

Fast?
Updating catalogs has been on my screen for couple of minutes and nothing happens. Hmm. Any advices what to do. Tried with all repositories enabled but same thing and now with only extras enabled and it keeps "updating"?

.edit

i cant find log file from /root/.fapman

Version 0.2.3 replaces the progress bar with a less cpu-consuming alternative. Try that.
