Re: AR - drone flown with a N900
Is there any update on this topic? I would love to use the N900 with the AR.drone :)

Re: AR - drone flown with a N900
Very cool project. Is there any chance for the source code to be shared via github or something similar? I believe there might be many people willing to help contribute to the code or with ideas for augmented reality apps. Apparently the quadracopter itself runs Linux as well so we should all feel right at home :)

Re: AR - drone flown with a N900
Hi ,
Couple of questions for those who got Drone. 1.Do I need Meego on my n900 in order to control Drone? Can it be done with Maemo? 2.I know I can find specifications regarding Drone on their site but would like to ask someone that is not working (hahaha) for them and is using Drone so: How far away can you be from your Drone and able to control it? I mean both in front of you and above you. How long can the battery last? Is it possible to show at the same time video on your n900 display and let say a loptop while you flight it of course? Hope someone answer this questions. Best regards to you and thanks in advance for answering them! |

Recent Drone firmwares have added multicast video feature, so only one device (pc or smartphone or tablet) can control the drone but many device at same time can see the video streams which come from drone. Many information on Ar-Drone can be found here: https://projects.ardrone.org/ http://www.ardrone-flyers.com/ http://www.ardrone-flyers.com/forum/ |
Re: AR - drone flown with a N900
Sorry to ressurect this thread again. Having just got wminput working on my n900, it has occorred to me that a wiimote and nunchuck would be a great controller combo when flying one of these. Mostly because i have plenty of spare wiimotes, and no dual shock 2 controller, as was mentioned earlier.
You could even have the altitude alerts trigger the vibration in the wiimote. (and the same for impacts, if the frone can detect them.) |
