Re: [Announce] Mieru: a flexible manga and comic book reader
Just a short notice - a new Mieru version with a Qt Components GUI will be released in the coming days.
It will first be released for Harmattan (N9 & N950) and then then for Fremantle (N900), once some Fremantle Qt Components issues are resolved. A few highlights:

Release announcement repost from the other Mieru thread on forum.meego.com.
I have not yet really tested this new Mieru version with Qt Components based GUI on Fremantle, but it should hopefully run without requiring many changes. It is my pleasure to introduce Mieru - a flexible manga and comic book reader. Mieru (見える) is a Japanese word that can be translated as to be seen, to look or to appear. Project resources website (temporary) issue tracker <- for submitting bugs & feature requests source code repository How to turn pages: just tap on the left (go back) or right (go to next) half of the screen. http://m4rtink.github.com/mieru/scre...screenshot.png Mieru showing a page in portrait with visible toolbar http://m4rtink.github.com/mieru/scre...screenshot.png The same page in landscape with hidden toolbar http://m4rtink.github.com/mieru/scre...screenshot.png Mieru uses this powerful open-file dialog adapted from the QML version of Cacheme and remembers last used folder http://m4rtink.github.com/mieru/scre...screenshot.png Mieru can be flexibly reconfigured using the options page Feature overview:
How to get Mieru Ovi store Mieru should be available from Ovi store once it clears the Ovi QA. Apps for Meego Mieru has been submitted to apps.formeego.com and is waiting for community feedback to pass the community QA. If you have a few minutes, please help by testing Mieru according to the Apps for MeeGo Community QA howto, so that it can soon enter the main Apps repository. Manual package installation It is also possible to install the Mieru package manually. (installation from Ovi or Apps doesn't need developer mode and is fully automatic) Prerequisites: become root be running devel-su in the developer mode

Also: Testers needed ! :) Mieru is one positive testing report away from entering the main Apps for meego repository. What needs to be done ? If want to help, just follow the Apps for MeeGo testing guidelines and fill in the test form on the Mieru testing page. Don't forget the Should the application be in this application catalog ? checkbox! :) Thanks in advance ! |

Also, thanks to all the other testers ! :D Mieru is now in the Apps for MeeGo main repository and can be easily installed using the Apps for MeeGo client ! :D Or even easier, just scan the attached QR code and press Download (you need to have a QR code scanning application like MeeScan and the the Apps for MeeGo client installed for this to work. :) ). |

Re: [Announce] Mieru: a flexible manga and comic book reader
The new version looks really nice, But since I "only" have an N900 I can't use it (yet). So any news about a N900/Fremantle Version ;) ?
