Re: [Announce] Sigma Player for Harmattan
There seams to be a problem with deleted songs. Albums of these songs are still visible in the AlbumsPage.
First of all, I want to clarify SigmaPlayer retrieves songs with QtMobility QDocumentGallery, so this does not depend on me. It should be the tracker itself, since when I type "tracker-search --music-albums" I still get deleted albums shown. Removing the tracker database with "tracker-control -r" fixes it, new database does not include the deleted album (and how could it, anyway). Can anyone pls confirm it? |
Re: [Announce] Sigma Player for Harmattan
But "tracker-control -r" also deletes contacts as they are stored in that database too, right?
0.0.5 is still not available from store, but i can check with my 0.0.4 install EDIT: can confirm the problem: connected to usb, deleted one album, disconnected, started sigma player, album still there EDIT2: checked, album is gone from default audio player, but not sigma |

Sorry for the delay, working a lot, here.. - The playlists issue I mentioned before was m3u files that I forgot to delete from other sources and copied by mistake to the phone. That problem was solved, thanks for the tip. - There's definitely a problem with the album art in Sigma Player: manually checked one by one, re-tagged and copied the modified media to my N9 again: the native Media Player shows correctly the album arts - Sigma still does not. For example: copied nine Black Sabbath albuns to N9, but all of them shows the same art from one of Sabbath's album. The same occurs with a lot more groups that have more than one album. I can assure you the art is embedded into each mp3. Like I said before, N9's Media Player displays the art correctly for each album. And still there's some tracks that does not display any art at all. - For the other problems mentioned before, still need a fix. Thank you anyway, I hope you can solve this soon. |

Re: [Announce] Sigma Player for Harmattan
Got some very nasty bug over here:
I was playing a song, and I just removed my headphones. So the music paused. About an hour later, I had a phone call. I didn't pick up the phone, but as soon as I missed the call, the music suddenly started to play!?.... :D can you please fix this? |
Re: [Announce] Sigma Player for Harmattan
@ kyle2k: album arts are retrieved from tracker and put in /home/user/.cache/media-art
Please check if the missing album art is there, which is its name, which album title and artist name the songs with that album art have. Native music player is not likely to be built using same APIs Nokia gave us, like all other default apps. While there should be a way to get album art directly using the API, it doesn't work, so I have to use workarounds. Don't blame me, blame Nokia for having bugs in APIs and not even answering bug tickets, because I'm sick to find API bugs in every application I write and having my apps downrated for those. Nothing personal, off course. @ HtheB: thanks for reporting, will fix it in next version. |

I'll see if I can filter albums with a numberOfTracks>0. |
Re: [Announce] Sigma Player for Harmattan
Would it be possible to fix/add the shuffle feature? Currently there is only random. A true shuffle would randomize the playlist and go through all the tracks without repetitions until completed.
