I'm not sure, but this is really the only chance i see...

Other ideas are very welcome :)

Edit: i also was sad, when i lost all my messages, but as i can say from my own experience... this happened so often to me on the N9, you get used to it ;)

So, copy "/home/user/.cache/tracker/meta.db" to external computer and have a go at it :D

Yup he'll have to do that; i think he has got depressed and went offline since early-on :p

I'm interested in checking this out too. This happened to me again yesterday. I did not reset the tracker or anything. After 3 reboots the messages came back by themselves. I'd like to understand what is happening here.

Thanks for your help, i couldnt come back before.
I dont know what is "tracker reset"...so probably nothing has been done.

I installed n9 qtweak all restored and found the 2 sms...
Then since this moment my girlfriend (even with a lot of reboot) have only her new sms, the old ones all lost.... :(

I should try to copy on my computer the /home/user/.cache/tracker/meta.db ?

Thanks a lot for your help. In fact it would be nice to be able to have like on computers a restore tool of erased data :)

I wish there was something there to start with. The folder is empty.

My messages are missing as well, and new messages sent and received will not be shown.:confused:

OK, I found a solution. I did not regain all messages, but at least new messages are being stored.
