can you post the full log? have you checked the file permissions? and have you checked for typos in the filename? (a case sensitive filename is required)

i found the prob i type mupen64plus ~/Downloads/supermario64.n64
but the solve is mupen64plus ~/Downloads/''supermario64.n64''

No, you didnt ;)

In your firs. (Failed) attempt you supplied the path

/home/nemo/downloads/supermario64.n64
(Or, perhaps, ~/downloads/supermario64.n64, which equals)

In your successfull, you supplied the path

~/Downloads/supermario64.n64

The qoutes around the filename doesnt matter, but the capital 'D' in Downloads does ;)
