Re: Micro-B for 770
My problem has been solved with apt-get -f install command in root mode.

Re: Micro-B for 770
Is it just my 770, or does every login page (or similar form page) crash when you view it?
Also, wouldn't it be a LOT easier for everyone if someone wrapped the MicroB Flash plugin up into a .deb? That way, the uninstall could reverse the plugin back for the Opera engine? |

I have seen one or two posts of people who have claimed improved browsing for some sites, etc. Anyone who is using micro-b like to list some sites that perform *better* with micro-b (with or without new flash plugin) , how they tested them, etc... I guess I am looking for a reason to keep it installed, but am not finding one... |
Re: Micro-B for 770
I can now access my online banking (bank of the west), with microb and flash 9. I couldn't before with opera or minimo. It's still a bit shaky for other stuff, and still can't open links to new tabs, but I will keep it for the banking - it works great.

Re: Micro-B for 770
opening links in new tabs? no problem. it seems that tabs = windows in the ui.
so first one need to enable tab view, then if one select "open in new window" it goes into a tab instead. but i must say, i suspect that microb dies rather then clean up memory when it use to much. that is if the pattern i think i see is for real. |
Re: Micro-B for 770
Are you able to close just one tab in tabbed mode ? It seems that when I try it closes the entire browser, even more surely than in opera mode :-)

Re: Micro-B for 770
yep i have the same experience, so right now the tab view is virtually useless...
but then i also seems to be able to kill the browser if i browse a page for a while, and then try to open a different one or something. |
Re: Micro-B for 770
Well that's not very different from regular Opera, just a matter of degree :-)
But it's too bad for the tabs - especially as Minimo does open *and* close them without problems... |
Re: Micro-B for 770
Some problems I hope it would be fixed in the future:
1. Failure to autoconnect to the network and that annoying network error 2. Using mozilla engine is slow for AJAX. It took much longer to load gmail than opera engine. Is it using more memory? (Gecko isn't exactly lightweight). 3. One feature in Mozilla I longed for: changing font size on the fly. Minimo has it and I love it. Much more practical than using zooming. 4. Tab browsing. Does anybody manage to get webcore running? |
Re: Micro-B for 770
1. Oh yes ! Quite a strange bug I might add, seeing as it's the same "launcher" as Opera...
2. It's slow but at least it works ; Opera doesn't load much else than Gmail, it's good to have Calendar too and I was amazed to see Maps run on the 770 ! 3. Oh yes ! 4. Well, it half-works : you can open tabs, but don't try to close 'em :-) |
