I know! I appreciate the relatively straight answers though.

Unfortunately, my bank does not support the Jolla browser. I've reported it to them. Let's see their response. Quote:
My point though is that a device that could be also used as a consumer device is also going to be used as a developer level device. Some people want to run some Linux applications and call it a day. Some folks want to just post a picture to Instagram. And all points in-between. |

For what it's worth, I find the sailfish browser annoying for filling in lots of separate small boxes (like pins for banking - my bank requires 6 separate little boxes) because it zooms right in on each one. WebPirate doesn't, and it works really well with my bank's website. Nice to have a choice! |
Re: Sailfish OS on Fairphone 2
Sounds I've been really lucky then. I deal with two banks and with both I do online banking in Sailfish Browser without any problems. If I couldn't, I would probably just wait that hour it takes until I get to the PC.

Re: Sailfish OS on Fairphone 2
Got my FP2 today, verry happy! Everything is working well, apart from:
Bluetooth, which seems to be a common problem with ports. I can pair my pebble but it isn't detected by Rockpool, I'm assuming that's a Bluetooth bug because it's working fine on my Jolla. EDIT: now working fine, see below. Camera, which crashes on launch. I flashed FF OSOS 16.04 before flashing sailfish Sailfish if that makes any difference... Is anyone else out there testing SFOS (2.0.0.12) on Fairphone, particularly Bluetooth? |
