Unfortunately mine isn't still working :-(( Perhaps because i didn't select the Nokia-UK online shop (I guess thats the online shop that Jan Jansen used...)?? I hope others are more lucky!

Nope, it seems Jan just had a bit of luck; those Belgians must be pretty nice! :)
I just tried the Nokia Canada shop, and there doesn't even seem to be a place to enter the code. Mind you, they're still saying, "Order by Dec 19 for delivery by Dec 25", and charging 6% GST (tax); the GST went to 5% on January 1st. Maybe next week. I'm pulling for the "enhanced N810i" theory. |

Ok, little correction. Mine also worked!! Nokia.be just doesn't have a link to an online shop , therefore I tried the UK website (which does have a link to an online shop). But as also being a Belgian and by visiting "http://direct.nokia.com/countries.aspx?model=N810", I finally got my discount code to work. Perhaps this also works for other countries??

In Nokia Shop I was ask about the promotion Code, the discount is clearly mentioned after filling it in. It's also visible when performing the payment.

I went out to some of the other Nokia shops and they have an obvious field for the discount code. However for the US the shop is run by Let's Talk, and where I am thinking much (if not all) of the fiasco has come from.
So it looks as if due to all the rants they decided to open up what Nokia controls and let the US happen when LetsTalk.com can pull their webservices out of their axis. :) sorry a little java geek humor. And I was hoping for that n810i with wimax and a 25mw argon lazer. ;) Congrates to those that could get the codes working... that's some progress.... and gives the rest hope. -Shawn |

If I remember correctly it's 99.00Eur or the equiv US$ which is currently 145.88

Ok, first of all, I invented the N810 8GB thing. I made it myself. But I have no relation with the N810i 8mb+faster GPS thing. I don't know if this is a casuality, internal info or my proposal converted into a rumour. Said that. Do you thing It would be clever to use the discound code before being notified to do so? What if that invention of mine or the rumor has some truth on it? How would you feel if you buy the product a day earlier just to discover next day's email telling you your codes are operative AND a new N810i is in the market? Murphy's law... |

Uhm... it looks like discount codes work only on those countries in which the "direct.nokia.com" shop exists.
If you go on http://direct.nokia.com/countries.aspx?model=N810 and try to look at the various contries, you will see that countries like Belgium and Sweden let you buy the N810 on that store, while countries like France and Italy redirect you to "shop.nokia.X", where the discount code does not work :( |

It s redirect you when the cookies for country is not set, but if this one is set, you can see on http://direct.nokia.com/Product.aspx?model=N810 That n810 isn't available in France on this store. n800 is available on the french direct.nokia.com store for 259 Euros, but on the boutique.nokia.fr store where you are redirected when you choose the country it is available at 360 Euros .... !!! boutique.nokia.fr -> 360 Euros direct.nokia.com -> 259 Euros Diff : 101 Euros ... OUCH !!! |

I just tried the discount code. It seems that the discount code works ONLY on the store initially chosen at submission. I tried with both the Italian and French stores, and my code works only on the French one. At that time I had specified France, without thinking to the AZERTY keyboard.... does anybody know if it is possible somehow to change this preference?
