For now xmame needs command line options like :

xmame -scale 2 rtypeleo
You need some config files
Uncompress and copy .xmame to /home/user

Thanks Anunakin, I will try the conf. files. Wich order in Terminal do I have to type? Can you give a small tutorial from the app already installed? Or a list of the name of all needed bios for neo geo games snk. Will try and report back. Thank you.

hey guys can some1 please help me
i have a problem where i downloaded the gui version from the extras-devel.
after download i placed all my roms in a folder inside .documents and then tried to run them, but i was asked to create a cache file.
after 140 seconds or so the cache was created and it starts booting the rom normally however i get this :
ERROR: file not found or CRC32 not correct, "CPU1"
click any button.

i noticed in the file where i placed my roms a folder called hi and another called cashe with a third folder called "nvrom" or something like that were created.

any help guys ?

Are you using CPS2 ROMs, because this emulator cant run CPS1 ROMs...

I know you're busy and I want to thank you for the great emulator. I originally asked for this a long time ago. I started a thread called cps2 emulator? You came thru. Just wanted to say a big thank you.

I know you're busy, but at your convienence, I was hoping maybe for a custom config as I recently bought as game gripper and there is not one single game I'd rather play on the go than marvel vs. capcom (cept maybe mvc2 but that's impossible). I know I'm asking alot and you've done so much already but that would be mobile bliss. Thank you for all your hard work, time, and your dedication either way.

hey man am pretty sure that the rom is a cps2
the game is marvel vs capcom
i even tried alien vs predator

any clues on what am missing to run the emulators pls ?

I have found when when downloading roms, if I edit the default file name, the rom dosnt cache. e.g. I downloaded marvel super heroes vs street fighter, when I downloaded it, the default file name was mshvsfu1 and that caches fine. But if I change any of the file names when downloading, it dosnt cache.

Is there any way to fix this as it is a bit hard to remember what all the games are just by their initials. an help is much appreciated, thanks.

some games run with screen rotated 90 degrees like 19xx. is there any option for playing this properly?

19xx is a CPS1 game,dont run on this emulator.

sorry, i disagree. i can run 19xx: The War Against Destiny just fine on the emulator except the screen is rotated to be in portrait mode, which is what the original arcade machine does. and this game is meant for the CPS2 hardware.

there was also another game that does this - dimahoo.

so either a keyboard remap (would still be odd to hold the phone sideways and try to press the keys) or some kinda software screen rotation (would look really squashed) which can be configured from the menu that you pull up using "L"

Yes, with me the same the 19xx rotates to portrait, but the 1945 plays fine landiscaply. Let us know when you finish the neogeo emulator. Thank you.

Hi guys, yesterday night I made a modified version of the cps2emu by Anunakin, the only difference is that it has the keyconfig support! :)

No graphical interface for the moment, you have to modify the "keyconfig.cfg" file in the "/user/.cps2emu" directory.
You can use every character of the keyboard except the space (that is used for enter in the menu) and can use also the special words "KEY_UP", "KEY_DOWN", "KEY_LEFT", "KEY_RIGHT" and "KEY_ENTER". You have to insert the key one per line in the file in this order:

CPS2Emu for Maemo is running on Nokia N900. CPU isn't overclocked and running on the default 600MHz. N900 phone can run anything, as long as it’s programmed right. For example with MAME emulator, you need to overclock the CPU to at least 900MHz, Of course later releases should fix that eventually.

This is excellent work thanks a lot :d However...for some reason i cant get the "up" key to work? Ive assigned the keys to work with my gamegripper and all the other keys work fine...however the key "w" wont assign to the up controls :( Ive made sure the w is lower case and theres no gaps but still wont work

It's because you have it as "W" and not "w". ;)

everything i try to make this works doesnt work at all.... i try creating different caches download different cps2 games adding themin different files but nothing i always get this message.

have you tried a different rom set? my recent MAME dl did not work, however, some CPS2 roms I had from my PSP days did the trick!

This is the best emulator for me so far. It runs flawlessly. If it work for this, why doesn't it work for other emulators like MAME....i try it out and it doesn't run correctly. CPS2 works flawlessly. Street Fighter Alpha 3 is just like the arcade...and some of those side scroll shooter like 1944 is amazing.

Now i want an emulator for MORTAL KOMBAT...enough of street fighter!! NEO GEO maybe ??? I dunno. I know you probably can play Metal Slug on Neo Geo.

By the way, i am playing it with the PS3 controller and it's amazing.

Yes me too am using ps3 sixaxis, works good. On the snes emul there is some lag probably due to bluetooth connection speed. + 1 for Neo Geo Emul too .

Would be good for KOF series Fatal Fury Metal Slug and other SNK games. With Mame we can play those but slow and skipping frames.

NeoGeo support would be awesome. Some games work on mame but most lag a lot. Where is Anunakin anyway? He used to post here more often.
