To put it chronologically, this is my story:

Alcatel One Touch Club DB (May 2001)
Siemens C45 (December 2002)
Nokia 3650 (Spring 2004)
Nokia N-Gage (Summer 2005)
Nokia N70 (February 2007)
Nokia N900 (December 2009)

Fun to watch how these devices evolved :D

N82 :)
I made the transition slowly over the past two weeks, switched the SIM card to N900 just yesterday ;)
But I will keep the N82 for parties, festivals, etc. where I don't want to take my precious N900 with me. And of course when I need the Xenon flash.

nokia 3210 (swore I'd never buy any kind of "smartphone" until one came on the market that had features, capacity, performance and reliability to be my one mobile device for at least 3 years after purchase) ... n900 finally ticked all the boxes.

Do I get the prize for "biggest one-step upgrade" :-)

5800XM.

Not a bad phone, but everything seems like a toy after the N900, even new releases in the smartphone range. The N900 has really changed the game for me.

N95 (very very good. Gave it away and it is still going strong)
E75 (i regret selling this solid piece of mobile computing)
N97 (still got it... no one probably wants it anymore... use it for navigation and testing purposes only)

E61 and I'm still using it, as I've found no 100% replacement for
- the voice quality and ease of use of my installed Truphone VOIP application
- a worthy successor of HandySafe. There is WIP but not all is there yet.

Anyway, as I'm working abroad, it does help having 2 phones, one with UK and one with BE sim card. TomTom also still works great on the E61, with external GPS receiver though.

And I loved all of them, but the N900 is most close to the type of phone I allways wanted! Mobile computer with the ability to do phone calls and send some text messages. :D

Mine was, wait for it, a samsung tocco ;)

I've only ever had one nokia, hate iphone and said when a phone/device comes along that has full internet capability that I can fit in my pocket i'll buy it.

And I love my n900 to bits. No regrets!

Think I'll have to switch wifi off sometimes though, to preserve the battery.

Ive still got an iphone 3gs as well as a n900 was considering selling my 3gs but still cannot part with some of those useful apps.

My previous cellphone was a Motorola Razr V3xx. It worked great for me for several years, and my wife still uses one.

Nokia E71, my first nokia and loved it. Would still have it if the screen was a bit bigger and just a bit more horsepower :)

I had a n95 8gb for 1 week rubbish phone, samsung h1 for 3 weeks another rubbish phone and two satios for 2 months both we're faulty and rubbish phones before those i had a nokia 5800xm which was great but too hangy my best phone ever was the n82 but the nokia n900 is definately better and my all time favourite.

I miss it like toothache. You know it's gone but you don't regret it a bit :)

You're not alone! I had one of those. Sole it on a few months back. It was never quite right was it?

Nearly destroyed the thing in my anger at it dropping calls or ceasing to make sound all the time. I did (once) get to use it as a semi-competent GPS when I was running android.

Last phone was a Sony-Ericsson T303. Cheap, small, shiny, does little but calls and texts. After the OM I needed simplicity.

Before that -

Errr....
Orange SPV (mistake!)
Sony z7
Nokia 7110

May have missed some there, but anyway. The SPV was an early attempt at a windows smartphone and boy did it suck. It ended its life getting run over in a car park in Texas.

N82. I carry both devices with a dual slot holster. I also thought my N900 would replace my N82. The Xenon, navigation, games and stability keep my trusty N82 by my side. I also like to host Q3A matches between my N82 and N900. I usually let my daughter use the N900 for its auto aim advantage.

mine was a N93 and I still use it as a backup phone with a new sim. I was using this for 3 years now before getting N900. But still there are some features in symbian mobiles which are not available in N900 like multiple profiles. Conferencing more than 2 etc etc. But atill I love my N900.

I had an nGage, Samsung Blast and Behold. Loving my n900. Had it for about a week.
