Here's my new KDE desktop  running on my N810.

Can I tell you how absolutely frakking amazing this is? Pretty much just like my PC desktop. Heck my Nokia is even running a more recent version of KDE than my PC (3.5.8 vs 3.5.2) Oh yeah and Konqueror does tabbed web browsing. I'm all giddy inside :D PenquinBait rocks!

I change my background almost monthly. This month it's a picture taken at my brother's wedding. Pictured above are my wife and I. :)

I gotta say, PinCushionQueen's screenshot is awesome! Guess I should back everything up my N810 and rebuild it for KDE? How much of an endeavour is it to get the N810 and KDE booting up off the miniSDHC?

Oooo... pretty OS, pretty GUI! ...I want! :D

EDIT: More Screenshots of all the apps I'm using right now. :)

I've posted a summary of the instructions with links to the wiki and ITt forums over on Brighthand. Yes... I'm it showing off all over the place :o

ive read the instructions and glanced over the wiki and i have realized i have no idea how to even begin to do this. any chance the whole process will come out in some form of one click download/install package?

We probably shouldn't hijack this thread so let's post any further KDE questions here. Ok? To quickly answer your question, I have no idea if a one click is even possible because of the nature of the processes. However, the summary instructions (link posted in my op) tell you exactly where to start - #1 partition a MMC - then follow steps 2-5. ;)

This is really nice! Could you describe how you do that?
I tried to do
x11vnc -display :1 -localhost
but it crashes 10 seconds after. Of course this is because there is no X started on display :1. I googled around but didn't find an howto.

Looking after your next post...

I followed this mailing list post: http://lists.maemo.org/pipermail//ma...ry/008480.html , the second
setup described there to be more exact.

Since it is rather vague (and the Debian armel port status changed in the mean time from unofficial and
just starting off to semi-official and quite mature) I've written a howto about this topic in the maemo wiki.

It can be found here - https://maemo.org/community/wiki/debianarmel_on_it/.

I have more screenshots too :) : http://www.flickr.com/photos/2254523...7603649694490/

One problem with this setup is that it's not all that useful in the long run, even if it does work okay. I may sound wrong but I think that everything that could and needed to be ported to maemo has already been ported anyway

Don't you find the proper window managers useful?

I can't stand the every application maximized thing, only being able to minimize gtk apps, and so on.

If you are serious: It's just a picture from N810 FCC document cutted/edited to fit NIT screen.

I could be wrong though :D
