when i send 1 to myself from myself the number on the message in main screen is 00000 instead of my name like on the sent message.

But when i open the message it shows me my name at the top.

Anyone else having this problem??

I can´t get fmms to work with Elisa Finland. My colleque has the same problem (it worked before and suddenly stopped working) and we both are using pr 1.1. Few other colleques have it working with pr 1.2.

When i use rude mode it seems to try to fetch the message with wifi or internet access. I don´t know it that is the issue also when sending. I have defined the apn setting correctly. (I have not install fapn at all)

What does the log say?
If it just stopped working suddenly (without changing anything in fMMS) there's a chance elisa has flagged your account as not MMS enabled (DNA did the same thing recently). :)

not working on vodafone uk with these settings from the wiki:

also in fMMS settings there is no setting for:
Connection Name?
Connection Type?
Prompt password at every login?
Use Proxy?
HTTP Proxy?
Port Number?

why give me those settings if theres no where to enter them?:confused:

You shouldn't need fAPN anymore. Im on Vodafone also and it works fine(using Havoc) by just inputting the settings direct into fMMS. :D

Anyone know if you can attach more than one pic in fmms? or there are size limitations that will prevent that!

Works fine with o2 Germany!
Unfortunately, only pictures can be received not the text part of an MMS?

Another problem is that the from field is wrong. I get my email via MMS to my N900 sent by O2. But very frequent, the FROM field is set to “Hotel Solitaer” instead of the real address of the sender.
Weird! That never happend with my previous phone (I think it didn’t happend in “rude” mode, but seems to always happen in “havoc” mode?

oh, in the headers of the MMS, the FROM field is correctly set, but not in the overview part of all received MMS or if u open a MMS.

i configured fMMS for my O2 accont according to this page:

Maybe something is wrong with that? Any ideas?

Hi,

I'm having trouble sending mms, have been getting error message saying "error 32 Broken pipe", after reinstalling fMMS 1.0.3 I now get error "mmsc replies: 403_Forbidden body: Unauthorized Request" when i click send. I do receive mms btw...
Any suggestions?
Im using TDC Norway, anyone else using this and getting fMMS to work? :confused:

Hmm, I'm now back to square 1. I tried to configure from scratch and now I get "Error: 32 Broken pipe, Please make sure your APN settings are correct".
I know someone posted a similar problem a while ago but couldn't find any respond with a solution...

The extra settings listed there are because more settings were needed in earlier versions and the wikipage has not been kept up to date :)

UI limitation atm. :)

If you receive a small pictures like 240x180px, in order to fix this problem and for receiving/viewing the pictures to full screen size, you have to run this command in the X-term: gconftool-2 -s /apps/fmms/useragent --type string "Nokia N900 RX-51"

1 - let one choose "send mms" afer one took a picture !
2 - while choosing for a picture to send use maemo gallery rather than file browser !

Nokia 5800 can't correct decode MMS sended by fMMS. Cyrillic text don't shows but message has unknown part with name "att".

You already can. With sharing-plugin you can choose "Share with service-> fmms" and get the picture right in to a new mms, ready to send.

Search for "Sharing plugin for fMMS" in program manager. Don't know if it is in extras-devel. If so, the usual warnings apply

Sharing plugin for fMMS gets autoinstalled with fMMS. It's hidden from program manager due to this. :)


Regarding the magic error, I'll fix it when I get home and repackage, slight forgot to test all different connection modes after changing some stuff.. :p

Can anyone help I've previously had the fmms working fine but after the last update it won't work.

I now have VERSION 1.0.4

I've tried re installing both the Fpan and fMMS I've followed every video link avavlible and when I try to configure there is now no option to enter resize image or my phone number.

I have also tried without as I read that on version you now didn't need to use this



I now keep getting this error message - golbal name 'magic' is not defined

I also had the problem with the "global name "magic""-error message after the update, until I set "Connection mode" to Havoc, under Configuration.
Now I can both send and recieve MMS again. ^_^

I actually don't have "Connection Type", and from what I understand I don't need to use fapn, right?

Well, after the configuration is saved, when I send an MMS I'm asked for the connection to select, and I select my GPRS connection, but it simply times out...

and by the way, If I configure an APN in the fmms configuration dialog, why does it ask for a connection? Shouldn't it use the configured APN?
