I think that or N770 is definitely dead....
There is no one place saying anything about a possible next update to 770, (anything else than a reviewed version of Os2007 hacker version) With no many bugs solved.

Please, NOKIA, release the source of all your OS....

In fact there are several places (including this forum) saying that the *official* support to the 770 is off. One of the reasons because I upgraded to the N800 :|

Then there is a group of brave engineers who ensured that the OS2007 Hacker edition will be developed and upgraded in the near future, at least to solve the bugs already opened an solved onto the official OS2007 release

About the sources of the OS, let me doubt Nokia will release them, but, as we say in Italy, hope is the last to die. :p

I am hoping the n800 won't meet the same fate... with the large bevy of such devices in the pipeline from other vendors (intel, palm, via, etc) I suspect nokia will come out with a next generation of the n800 before we know it... (my guess is some kind of integrated qwerty keyboard)... I just hope we continue to see updates to the OS2007 or at leat some degree of backwards compatability with the next OS.

Honestly I would just love to see something newer than Flash 7, would be nice to be able to stream my xm satelite radio from the n800 like I can from my cellphone or laptop.

I think that all internet tablets will die with the upcoming MIDs from intel, they would be x86 and compatibles, so... why to continue to support to the ARM platform, and what about iphone and palm foleo... I think that all IT will die if nokia do the things like they do...

Hardware abstraction seems to be a key development area for Nokia and has appeared on recent slides of Maemo/IT OS development so I think Nokia are taking seriously the backward compatability aspect for the future. Whether it's too late for the 770 remains to be seen, but I have hopes that the N800 won't be dropped as quickly when the next device arrives.

As for being stuck with Flash 7 - blame Adobe. :(

I have seen this sort of comment before, and the poster has always seemed like a nincompoop to me. There is no ownership of threads. If I thought I was joining a thread "belonging" to someone else, I wouldn't join it.

I don't think that anyone should be banned as a result of this thread, however. And I don't think that there should be moderators policing this sort of thing, either. It is true that Eucreprof started this thread, so I think that "stalking" someone else on this thread couldn't very well be charged to him.

Personally, I hope that the great event predicted for June 11 doesn't happen then, because I think that the predictor of same has shown himself to be an egomaniac of the worst kind: an unjustified egomaniac. (Egomaniacs that are actually superior are not quite as bad!) And I would be quite happy if people with similar attitudes don't give further information like this. However, I don't think he should be banned, because I have seen other threads in which he makes unobjectionable contributions.

Maybe you misunderstood in what content I wrote this... I meant... I am not stalking the threads Texrat is starting... he is on "my thread" though which simply means the threads I am starting... look i am not defending my lack of maturity though... I did want to explose Texrat though because he is really rude to new people and very rude to me. He needed to be humbled by someone willing and able to go down to his level of maturity/mental state. Everyone else he has been rude to just "went away" cuz anyone who wasn't blind could see this guy is unstable... and while doing so Texrat probably figured he outdebated them or something and he inflated into a big hot air ballon even more... It's not right to speak the way he does to others... in real life he wouldn't speak to me that way because I am an intimidating figure.

This has gone far enough. Even if the new rules are not yet in place, I will start banning members who are reported for personal attacks. Bans will last for a week.

For each new account that a banned member registers, a month will be added to the ban.

Please don't hesitate to report members who are attacking other members.
