same problem here.
and another problem happened when another calls receive during call (with call wating enabled) ! the phone switched to landscape mode and buttons on screen (Answer/Reject) not working

any way to disable and enable this daemon ?

is there any update about Silent button ?

I have a weird error that´s come in the last 2-3 updates to Slide 2 Answer the problem is that when the Google Voice IM plugin is running and online I get a Slide 2 Answer screen up every once in a while that shows "Subscribe" where the contacts are usually displayed.

Sometimes when I turn the screen on after it´s been off (by using the slider button) I get a Slide 2 Answer window up, with the term "Publish" in the contact space.

I noticed this as well, when the slide2answer UI rotates.
I don't know why but it seems all UI elements but the slider
gets invisible.

No, you have to uninstall the app. A control panel plugin to
enable/disable the slide2answer UI would be a good idea :-)

I did some tests with stopping the hildon-sv-daemon to turn of the ringtone, but nothing worked.

Also, just a thought, with an overlay application could you leave it transparent and add sliders on top of the existing keys so that the keys of the original phone app get pressed when the slider completes its route?

Yeah it looks like s2a is getting triggered not only by call events but also by availability events. I have seen 'subscribe', 'publish' and 'Buddies'

I can be added to the "me too" list. Originally, I was thinking that it was a sort of skype spam, but I realized that I've disabl.ed that account. Thanks for pointing that it is related to IM events...

Lol yeah...slide to subscribe to adult stuff, or publish it to your IM counterparts and facebook. Maemo5 is now the first mobile OS with a fully integrated porn distribution.

Didnt work for me, i couldnt answer a phone call and also it removed part of my statusmenu apps such as fm carkit. Maybe i´ll try again soon because this is interesting app :)

this is the 1st time i interact with the maemo community
i really appreciate all your efforts in developing new software and programs daily for maemo 5 n900
slide2answer was a long waited feature, however it is still missing a feature which is to make the phone silent (no silent button)
i hope u take my idea into consideration and thank you for your efforts

My friend said that every time I answer using this, he hears a loud cracking sound, I think caused by the sliding. Any way to fix this?

I'm sorry to bother you with this very specific question but here it is anyway.
My proximity sensor is no longer working.
I have tried replacing it with a new one but nothing changes (yes, I dissassembled my n900 completely and chaged it together with the front camera and all the stuff that comes together) so everytime I get a new phone call the screen of my phone remains blank and locked until I unlock it by hand.
With slide2answer installed, since there is very little risk of accidental answers, the screen could be immediately unblanked regardeless of the state of the proximity sensor. Is this a feature that could be implemented in your piece of software?
There is also a strange behaviour in your code that I would like to point out.
To answer a phone call it's not really necessary to "slide": if you touch "all left" or "all right" the slider you get the desired action. I think that the correct behaviour would be to "grab" the slider with the finger and actually drag to the sides of the slider.

Hi fabbro, sorry for the long delay.

New version 0.1.6

Finally I found a way to change this behaviour. Now you can
only drag the slider, pressing left or right on the slider bar
doesn't move the slider any more.

I tried it, but I couldn't find a way to implement this. The phone application
reads the proximity sensor after slide2answer recognized the call.
That means whatever I do, to unlock the screen, the phone app
just blanks the screen again afterwards.

But I found out (I don't know if this helps) when you get a call and the proximity
sensor is covered (or always covered as in your case), you can
push the power button or the sliderbutton on the right side and
the screen unlocks (at least for a short time).

is there a way to change the black background? Using the array theme leads to a partly invisible slider field because it´s also black on the right side.
