Highlight in MicroB Downloads is unchanged, nothing visible. Pop-up menus don't have any highlight. Also, could you change the gray highlight to a nice blue?

I wouldn't mind this, but I would to have more than 3 states. More than 3 colors to give more information about the current state.

It are 8 states. red, lighter red, orange, lighter wellow. yellow, light green, green and then green as hell

Nice buttons.
battery is not changed, still small.

Here is an idea: try to make'it all black and white. untill now we have all kind of themes, but no one of them is only black and whyte.
what i mean by black and whyte:
- the buttons edges should be only a thicker white line. maybe only on two edges, not all ( like the shadow of the button ). now they seems to luck like button from black and whyte plastick theme.
- battery - black and white. maybe changing the phone signal icon to a triangle, and the battery changed to BW.
- change the backgrounds to pure black and some white ( i used some images called "digital_nature3_01" to 4) and give to theme more force.

if possible, ichons for :
irreco
transmission
recaller ( is so red :) )

i like very much your theme. i think is putting the phone in another light.

The battery images are in icons and now i only updated the theme :D

I looked on this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3frrZvX4Zs and saw that the buttons are more like squares and lighter color.

make them square, black black, and make some thick edges white.
at least give it a try.

PS: we do not complain, just come with some ideas to make something special.

i was thinking to keep the theme as black as possible. gray buttons take some of the phone beauty out.
maybe gray on pressing, or making the edges black on press...

Hi Robin :)

This is my first time here on this 3d and overall i would thank you for the massive work you are doing to bring us this amazing suite (both iconset and theme are awesome).

I think that the feedback of all users is needed to improve the quality of your work, so, those are my two cents:

I would have these icons in my menu:

- Sygic Mobile Maps
- Battery-Eye
- Catorise Gui (yep, the icon in the app menu to open the GUI to configure it)
- fMMS
- QtBubbleLevel
- Extended Call Log

And, if you can, some stupid icons:

- Banner
- Mokomaze (a funny puzzle game well developed)
- Vodafone 190 (an app to check available credit for the Vodafone Italy operator)


In addictions, I have some reminder and suggestion in helping you to improve completeness of your theme:

- Icons in the default mediaplayer should match your iconset (video, music, internet radio and "shuffle all" icon)

- When i receive a call, the answer key is totally green (like the default theme's key). I think it should be black with a thin green line like the reject key (black with a thin red line)

- Can you skin some default widget? I mean the inbox and calendar widget. regardin the inbox (mail) widget, i thin that a black background sholud be enough. Regarding the calendar widget, maybe you have to change the number of the days, there is still a lot of red.

- I see that you are already working on battery icon. Good, now it sucks a lot :D

- Buttons in dialling pad (phone app): I think they are not matching the theme's style, the fade effect on it (from black to grey) looks a lot like "black plastic theme". A 2D style for those buttons should be appropriate.

Background: it would be amazing to have a loopable, minimalistc style wallpaper, black with some stylish thin white lines. I can't find nothing appropriate on the web now.

And, my last but not least feedback: you already did an impressive work, as i told you in the beginning of this post. I beg you, please, do something for the "WiFi Switcher" icon in the status menu! I never found an icon theme that change it! I really hate that annoying green and fatty icon!


Is all for now. I know, i gave you a lot of things to think about, but i own a N900 since almost a couple of years, i've installed dozzins of themes, dozzins of iconsets, but i think that your is the only one that could be the definitive theme for this phone: really stylish, minimalistic and really complete.

Hey Robin, tnx for reply. Yeah, I like so much ur last screenshot, is what i think it should look the dialling pad and all the buttons related to the phone app. By my own taste i prefer a darker color, i would try using the black.

And, for donation, ****, i still don't have a paypal account 'cos i don't own a credit card :(

for sure u deserve some money for the work. sadly, i have no money for the moment ( the reason that i give advices over here :)) ), but u are on my short list when my situation will change.

in any case, i say that u should not leave the theme unfinished.
and also, if u want the theme to be like WP7 phone, then do'it like in that video that u show us before.

as i say in my previous posts, the pure black and whyte theme should be gorgeous on n900, and probably someone should create that theme.
for the moment this is the closest thing to what i think.

PS: regarding the theme:
in the call, i saw the big red button become black with a red imperfection on one edge, and the green one is still green, as in the eefo picture attached two comments earlier. it is a little disturbing, probably they should be black with red ( for closing ) and green edges, and on press to be green or red.

Looks pretty good now, Robin! Excellent work! Phone app now is really complete, i like the color you chose for the buttons!

You also fixed some minor bugs i found in 0.2.0!


In my opinions still remain only few questions to work on:

- Icons in mediaplayer still not matching icon theme's

- When i tap a received sms for a second, to show the options menu (open contacts card / delete) there is no overlays on the option i tap.

- Background of inbox (mail) widget is still in a light grey. To match your theme i think it should be black or a darker grey (like phone app's buttons), and with a squared title bar (now the bar showing the mail address in use is still rounded like the default theme).

- in the calendar widget, the number of the days are still on a white background with a red line, like the page of an agenda. This is what happens in the default theme.

- the battery icon still sucks, but i think this is a problem related to the mango iconset ^^

Have you found some way to create a matching background (loopable) for the theme? My girlfriend works pretty well in photoshop, may i help you in this?

As last, one thing I really care about, did you find a way to change the "WiFi Switcher" icon in the default status menu?

It's all, you really did a good job, the theme is almost perfect now, congratulations ^^

I'm waiting now for this minor fixes and for an update to the iconset :D

You can help me with a loppable background.
And as you say the battery are in iconset, I will look on the ifi switcher.
I think it will be a release for that tonight ;)

Nice work Robin, installed the iconset last night, looks better now!

But the "WiFi Switcher" icon is still the default one, i think that something different has to be done to change it, i'm goin' to take a look in my opt folder to find it

Some icons are still missing, Sygic Mobile, fMms, banner, extended call log, mokomaze, QtBubbleLevel, battery-eye, Catorise GUI, and Vodafone 190.

The battery Icon is a good idea, i like it, but maybe it should be a little bit more discrete, like a white circle with a green/yellow/red outline

As usual, all in my humble opinion ^^

first of all , dude THANKYOU SO MUCH FOR THE EFFORT
as you can see the chat window , that icon needs to be resized so the number can easily be visible and yeah i have a request too , can you make a lock icon please ?
and yeah , you know in last version the button highlighted thingy you had was really awesome as compared to the new one , like that was simple and really cool , the outline one , if it is possible can you change it ?
i know in last version i had a problem that when i am downloading something i cant see a thing , and now i can , but it's up to you dude , if you can make that button highlighting thingy again it will be awesome then .


and yeah buddy i had posted this before but i think you forgot , i know it's usual to forget things when you are doing such a huge work alone .

thank you for the updates.
now, the theme is usable, i think almost all big bugs are gone ( mostly selection issues ).
i like the red and green line under the buttons, when u receive a call. u need to do something with speaker button ( when u make the call ).

the battery icon is a little strange, even the color changing is interesting. please make'it bigger if possible, now is just a half icon. she have a lot of empty space around, and is visible that something is missing. :). Also, it is not very clear how much battery is there. maybe filling up the icon and changing color will be a good idea.

something else: i put shortcuts of some contacts, and when u press them they become white on white.

thank you for the updated icons, but i think that i have to give u some locations, because they did not changed ( ex: transmission, irreco ).

Just my ideas, not complains. :)

PS: I hope u undestand what i write over there, cause my computer is almost broken and i can't attach pictures, or something else to be more clear.

and yeah as ioncelmare gave you a suggestion regarding battery icon , this is something hit my mind , as the battery icon is really small and have space on both up and under it why dont you do this , add percentage with battery icon ?
