I got emails from both Expansys and Mobilefun saying they have no idea of when they will get stock (UK). I'm gutted. :( Keep wondering whether to try an EU stockist.

I'd understand if the n900 was $900 but yeah, right now I wish I was in Australia so I could get rich selling these on ebay.
My sister is in Aus (Tasmania) and I'm having a tough time convincing her to grab me one.

i live in north italy. There is a train directly for Chiasso (canton Ticino). Does any swiss dude know shops where n9 is sold near the station?

I don't see a problem with Expansys' prices. In Sweden the 16gb is around $770 incl taxes so Expansys is even cheaper. I do think Nokia could lower the price a bit though but that's another story. Will probably not happen this year as the N9 seems to sell very good (in the countries it's available in).

ok, i ordered a 64G from expansys. no, its not cheap, but i don't have any visits to the EU planned, and i don't know when work is going to send me. besides, digitec.ch, that a friend in zuri recommended this morning doesn't have an availability date, so there's no point in going...

furthermore, mobilecityonline is closed wed-sun this week, so i doubt they will get delivery before next week, and i would have to pay tax there.

i'm curious about mexico, as they are official. does anyone know?

So where are you? I'm assuming the US, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

Did you order, or pre-order? And from which Expansys?

As for Mexico, I defer to gerbick and one or two others with a handle on that situation. There is an official supply of N9s available (possibly in the near future) through 1 or more carriers in Mexico - that's all I [think I] know (so not a lot).

Prises in Switzerland seem really cheap. Do they include taxes?

I will be in Geneva in a couple of weeks time so it might be a good opportunity to get me a cheap N9 64GB :cool: so could anyone from Geneva recommend me a good electronics retailer I could visit?

Interesting to see that Expansys US have got the 64Gb model (even if only a few) whilst Expansys UK still have no idea if they are ever going to get stock

I'm not in/from Switzerland but the swiss prices includes 8% VAT. If you order it to ship outside of Switzerland (only highdefinition.ch seems to do that) they subtract this VAT, but then your country frontier will charge all (VAT, taxes etc.).

That's right, but as I said, only the highdefinition.ch shop seem to ship out of Switzerland. I've preordered the 64GB at 659 CHF = about 530 € (inc. swiss VAT) and let it send to a friend in Switzerland, so I've no other charges. They ordered it by their vendor but couldn't give me a date of availlability. Now this shop increased the price of 64 GB to 709 CHF.

I'm getting one(64gb) from the Nokia store in Dubai. Comes to around 426GBP. Or 489 Euros.

What is the best way to have my friend ship this to me? How much will customs charge?

Amazon.de is shipping my 64GB (pre-ordered from months ago) TOMORROW (the 19th). General availability is showing 3-4 days.

Good news for those in the Eurozone - that means a Euro wide warranty as far as I know. Indeed, it appears from this Nokia warranty page that the same warranty applies to the EU, Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, and Turkey. Does this mean a device bought from anywhere in that region will be given warranty service anywhere in that region? Can someone confirm this?

Now I have 24 hrs to decide whether to bite this particular bullet - my more rational side tells me I should wait for a few months to see how the N9 'matures' and also to see what happens with prices... and to see if I can get an N9 much cheaper on a plan here in Hungary.

My friend in Dubai tells me that black and pink available, 16Gb, blue one not till next month. Price is $644, add another $100 for shipping. Its exactly the same as expansys in US.

sorry i wasn't perfectly clear earlier, i ordered. my N900's modem died about six months ago. i've been using an X3 ever since and i'm tired of it.

i live three subway stops from mobilecity, where i've purchased an N900, an X3, a 5310 and numerous bluetooth headsets (currently using the sony-ericsson mw600). they still don't know what they're getting or when they're getting it.

Ordered the Black 64Gb from Abu Dhabi. Will have it mailed to me in London. My only concern is how much customs will charge.
As for lack of EU warranty - I have comprehensive phone insurance. Anything happens and i'll get a cash pay out as I imagine my insurance company will have trouble sourcing a new N9.

Maybe I'm too late, but it says out of stock to me. I have had a pre-order in for a 64GB with expansys.ca for a few weeks now, but have heard nothing. I hope they didn't put them up for general sale before filling pre-orders... that'd be a real insult to injury when you also take into account the price-gouging.

Argh. Just spent 10+ minutes in a queue trying to get through to Expansys US sales. No dice. I had to hang up because if I heard the recording say "We're sorry we're unable to answer your call more quickly, please hold" one more time I might have lost the ability to remain philosophical about it.

If there is anyone in Boston, MA, there is a store called "Mega Mobile", I was there yesterday and they said they will probably have them at the end of this month. Price unknown for now.

They have shitload of other Nokias too.

Your best bet would be wait until December and get it in NYC in one of those small electronic stores that are all over Times Square.
