I'd guess these are separate QML apps which will be available in N9 release. Similar to what was with N950 first betas when games were missing.

Thanx man, aren't I glad I asked for more, now I'm gonna keep coming here until I get mine :)

By the way can auto-brightness be cancelled?

Question about mail-client... Can you edit/add "real" User for sender?

Like "Catbus <catbus@catbus.org>"

This is not working for gmail in PR1.1...

I haven't really understood everything about the option for threaded mails. Thanks if someone can clarify better.

Those mails that are part of a thread/converstion appear fine.

What I don't understand is the meaning of some single mails appear with the blue line on the left side (as if they are unread). In general, all of them are on a date before the update and I cannot mark them as read.

Do I miss something?

I'm not certain that this is new, but I noticed you can configure which types of notifications appear for facebook and twitter:

Thanks marxian, but what about in fenix, the mail client? Press-and-hold does nothing on my device, does it work for you?

Code:

Segmentation fault

I think now I have no choice but to use the stock video player for downloaded videos in cuteTube. The story of the QML Video element just goes from bad to worse. It's unusable in Symbian, far from perfect in Maemo5, and now I find that, quite apart from the terrible scaling issues (which seem to have improved somewhat in PR1.2), it is now unstable in Harmattan.

The one great feature of OVP has is to play the videos in the background (great for when listening to music that I downloaded from youtube :p)

A good work around for this issue for me is having ffmpeg and convert them to m4a or mp3, like cutetube does on the N900.
I found out that there is a ffmpeg in one of the repositories (i think rzr's repo) but somehow, I couldn't get this to work :/

I found out that the headphone bug is solved.
On PR1.1: If you turn on your phone while your headphones are plugged in, the phone doesn't detect your headphones and the sound/music will come out of the phone speaker.
Seems to be fixed in PR1.2

I also find it pretty annoying that everytime when I boot my phone, the "sim option icon" will show up in the menu, even if I put it in a folder, it will be outside of it again once you reboot the phone.
See screenshot which icon I mean (the last icon with the simcard logo on it)

Same as before - none.

That's not to say that API's haven't been added (or even bug fixed) to allow third-party applications to take advantage of the front facing camera (eg. Peregrine), but in terms of the stock apps there is still no support.

What about video calls (gtalk/jingle), I thought they use front cam?

Sorry for building false hopes. :( No copy and paste at the mail client as marxian already said.
I read only in threads like this about the new features and I understood something somewhere wrong. I have not flashed myself my N950 because I'm currently using the Debugger heavily and it would stop working with the current Qt SDK version. After flashing there would be no step back to PR1.1 for me to test my application because I still don't own a N9. :(

So currently a very hard choice to make for me. ;)
Continuing developing my newest project or enjoying one of the best Software products Nokia has ever created.

Sigh, can 1.2 beta users please confirm whether this is still an issue for you:
https://harmattan-bugs.nokia.com/sho...cgi?id=123#c34 (see comment #34)
If they still don't have this fixed since 1.0, it's beyond a joke...
Hopefully it's an entirely different bug (yipee), or the fix isn't in the beta build.

In his defense....
I've actually seen him lodge many other bug reports & enhancement requests the correct way.
I guess he just got tired... :D

Sigh :(... And Peregrine devs have been MIA for mths.
When one approaches them for more detail, they're quite non-communicative.

Oh thank God, please let us know if it creeps in again!
It was a particularly nasty bug, that seemed to affect a very large subset of users.

Thank goodness the browser has the option to save passwords now.
At least one new feature has been added to the browser (aside from improved core/rendering engine).

Hi! Can you elaborate on this? Is the wifi on a 5Ghz only (Wireless A ONLY) or someting else?

This is because I was hoping the 5Ghz wireless issue has been resolved. Thanks!

If you mean posting an image to Twitter directly from Gallery - this is possible in PR1.1, you just have to activate this feature.

Re: [Announce] Harmattan 1.2 beta now available as OCF for Nokia N950

Sorry if this goes off-topic...

I was thinking (I think I read it somewhere) that PR1.2 will bring system wide file manager support so that one can upload from browsers on top of being able to save it to particular location using file manager. I haven't heard of it yet and couldn't find anything in bug report either. Hence, have just raised one enhancement as I'm sure it hasn't come with PR1.2 yet or please advice if it has. If not then please vote below:

https://harmattan-bugs.nokia.com/sho...6&list_id=6517

Also, I found one thing very annoying in built-in browser in PR1.1 or before. If there are videos shared from youtube in a page, the whole video is not shown in the page at all. It comes up completely blank like as if nothing was there though the text just above says "check out the video below". Some, shows up for HTML5 videos I guess but they can't be played at all either (which I think is fixed in PR1.2?). I don't think this feature has come with PR1.2 either. What should be done is the video should appear in the page and when clicking on the thumbnail the video should be played back from the inbuilt youtube player. Have filed a enhancement for this as well a while back. Please vote:

https://harmattan-bugs.nokia.com/sho...2&list_id=6517

Thank you guys for helping me out to try make my beloved N9 full of features rather than full of limitations... ;)

One thing I really don't like is that they have changed the naming of the photos created.

before: yyyymmdd_xxx
now: yymmxxxx

e.g. 20120201_001.jpg now becomes 12020001.jpg

EDIT:
there is a separate thread on this now here:

Just read this thread: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=80445
It is as simple as edit file /usr/share/accounts/services/twitter-share.service and uncomment following 2 lines:

Works flawlessly for me.
