Any Gapless music player, i mean, if the native player will be gapless it would be awesome.
I've never been really into maemo/meego, so i don't know if there is any existing player like this... I hope someone would work on this..

Talking about music. Discogs, Whosampled and Mixcloud would be nice additions to app landscape.

A note taking application able to synchronize with a Tomboy repository.

Firefox (no, the stock browser would not be enough).

Map & Navigation application as the same level as Nokia Maps or Google Maps.

Currently QuasarMX is the only music player that decently supports gapless for Meego-Harmattan. Though it's not free, it's actively maintaned by the dev who owns it, and he also posts here. It's feature-filled and performs very well.

Though gapless transitions are not absolutely perfect (but are pretty darn close), he has mentioned that he is exploring a way to make it even better.

I hope he also ports this to sailfish and based on his track record of porting to other platforms, I am optimistic.

Re: What Applications would you like to see on Sailfish Devices?

It doesn't appear to have been mentioned already but CalDAV and CardDAV support would be almost essential for me so it can be used with ownCloud and/or Apple iCloud. The N9's CalDAV support is ok but it never got CardDAV.

Cisco VPN support.

Apps:

A refreshed port of Web Feeds with support for other RSS sync services since Google are stopping reader - https://projects.developer.nokia.com/feed_reader

A port of SciCalc - http://n9-apps.com/scicalc

A LastPass application and integration with the browser and other apps if possible. LastPass were pretty negative about porting to the N9 when I asked though so I wouldn't hold my breath.

OpenLiveView - http://openliveview.com

Rocket - if the feed integration wasn't so buggy it'd be the best twitter client on the N9 - http://webpointstudio.ru/products/rocket/

An iTunes remote app.

easy ways to be able to create plugins and integrate social services into there system without having to wait for updates from them. Maybe am thinking theyll be like Nokia too much. So for example we can add our own social network to the "event feed"

Re: What Applications would you like to see on Sailfish Devices?

I've had a quick look through this post and can't see many requests for a top-notch Maps and Drive app. These are what keep me with my N9 and Symbian devices. I care little for other platforms' GPS apps.

Does anyone know yet what Jolla's plans are for mapping? What are the chances of Nokia licensing Maps/Drive to Jolla? Here maps is basically available on any WP device (Nokia or not) so why not?

+1 for that! I found reading books on the N9 was quite pleasant. White text on black background, which is ideal for in bed as well. But OLED is required for this application, to keep energy consumption down.

Most i'am worry about is offline navigation.
Maybe Jolla can make a deal with Nokia. Nokia spend Maps and Navigation to Sailfish for Jolla-Support of the N9?

I dont need Navigation in my hometown. I need in foreign countrys where i dont can use Online Navigation.

Only Dreaming

I hope to see many different emulators ported to Sailfish: ScummVM, DosBOX, Java ME, NES, SNES, Genesis, GBC, GBA, N64, PSX, etc.

Especially DosBOX - I want to run Win95 on my Jolla :)

Re: What Applications would you like to see on Sailfish Devices?

I would add to the list:
*Waze (A current one because the port is a little outdated with new features)
*Kall (Be able to control how long a call can last and re-dial after this time has expired)
*Firestarter (Amazon Kloud Reader)
*Converter (currency, weight, temperature,length, etc)
*Track & protect
*Wifi Management (be able to see the passwords of the added wifi's)
*Countdown
*PC Remote control (via BT or wifi)
*Tips (Tip calculator)
*PinIt! Lists (Todo, shopping, etc list)

UPDATE
Been a bit busy over the last few days.
Will catch up on posts and update the list, as well as providing any updates/feedback from the devs I've been emailing.
Will also try to get some more emails out today.
Thanks to all for your suggestions and input and once again, big thanks to the devs who have shown their support.
Overwhelmingly, almost everyone I've contacted either has, is, or will be porting their applications across to SailfishOS!

Re: What Applications would you like to see on Sailfish Devices?

Nearly every new car has OBD2-Interface, and there are a lot of BT-Devices for OBD2.
So it would be nice to have an Application like "Torque" or "OBD-Auto-Doctor"
to read the Error-Codes and other Messages of the Motormanagement on the Smartphone.

Corrected that. I would like to see that too but... Maybe I am wrong but isn't Microsoft the only natively supported OS by the ex-Nokia maps?

No worries. The other half story has inspired me greatly already.

I will just velcro strap my trusty N8 to the back of the Jolla.

That will settle the camera issue and Navigation issue till 2016 at least.

ScummVM, ResidualVM, OpenXcom, GemRB, various emulators (NES, SNES, SMS, Mega Drive, PS1, Game Boy, Game Boy Advance, C64 and Amiga) and a music player that can handle tracker mods and C64 sid files well (like Scenetone for Symbian).

I didn't noticed any speed camera warning software yet... I currently use this one in my N9 http://n9speedcamdetector.blogspot.fi/

In N900 I had jSpeed - http://my-maemo.com/software/applica...to=1629&faq=38

Thumbs up for Sailfish versions... ;) Of course internal navigation with speed cam warnings would be great too :)
