Re: [Announce] bleeding-edge wl1251 wifi driver for Maemo Fremantle
okay so for those who want to use cleven with KP50 do the following(until Saturn updates his app) :
1)download the bleeding-edge wifi driver build for kernel-power v50 from here 2)Extract the files to /opt/cleven/compat-wireless/ bam! you are done! :D Note that cleven will still show you the warning about not compatible kernel.Just ignore that message. Hope this helps... Minhaz |

Thanks for posting. I am on KP50 and I do want to run cleven having used it on previous versions of KP. I've follows the instructions and several versions of extracting the drivers but I am still getting the error messages and it won't scan for networks.. I am sure I have missed something basic here is what I did downloaded to my docs - extracted - same problem kernal no scan etc then copied the tar to root extracted and moved files to opt/cleven/compat-wireless/ as per different post still no joy. reread tons various posts uninstalled and reinstalled cleven. Installed Cleven experimental incase of other options. what else should I have done? Did I miss something? Cheers |
