Re: [Announce] Waze for N900/N9/N950

I am uninstalling version 0.0.10, installing version 0.0.1 (logon works)
Tat installing version 0.0.7. Such Waze works, but there are recurring problems with network discovery.

Re: [Announce] Waze for N900/N9/N950

I have checked the "unable to login issue" and it seems that the waze server have started to change. Waze on the N9 works OK for whoever uses it Israel but doesn't on the rest of the world. I am trying to recreate a debugging environment that will try to "place" me at London so I can further investigate it.

I think I have found the issue which only affects users in certain regions. Fixing it might take several days...

Re: [Announce] Waze for N900/N9/N950

Important note - after wasting 3 hours of debugging:
Waze has killed their server which deals with some parts of the world for older releases! :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Edit: Workaround is now specific to US and the rest of the world

Workaround:
If you encounter the can't login issue modify the realtime section in ~/MyDocs/.waze/data/preferences.ini to look as follows
If you are in US
Code:

[Realtime]
Web-Service%20Secure%20Enabled=no
Web-Service%20Secured%20Address%20Resolved=https://www.waze.com:443/rtserver/rtserver
Web-Service%20Secured%20Address=https://www.waze.com:443/rtserver/rtserver
SecuredOfflineTarget=https://wudworld.waze.com:443/rtserver/upload/upload_wud.php
OfflineTarget=http://79.125.10.114:80/rtserver/upload/upload_wud.php
Web-Service%20Address=http://www.waze.com:80/rtserver/rtserver

If you are in the rest of the world
Code:

[Realtime]
Web-Service%20Secure%20Enabled=no
Web-Service%20Secured%20Address%20Resolved=https://world.waze.com:443/rtserver/rtserver

Is there any hope that Waze will start running?

those servers are slower - give it a minute to sync, when you see that message choose ignore

Same here. Did the changes but Waze froze every time I start the app. I'm in Malaysia.
