you have pr1.2 and less ?
libqt4-core is part of PR1.3

yes, maemo autobuilder create package that linked with qt4.7 (pr1.3) and i can't fix this(and i don't need this)

Hello. When I try to load a game (iso file) the gui just freezes and the cpu usage is 100% all the time and nothing happens. I have to restart the phone. BTW my cpu is oc at 1100Mhz. Is this a common problem??

OK I reported the error. Can you please tell me the best file type to use. ex iso bin and with what program better to rip the games. also there is a screenshot attached

bios file should be lowercase! read FAQ plz

I renamed with lowecase letters but same result. it freezes and the cpu usage stays 100% untill i Restart the phone.

Hi, I'm on PR1.3 and I've got PSX4M 0.4.3-1 but I can't launch any games...

After entering everything on the Terminal, the sound is there but I've got a black screen and nothing happens

Can anyone help me please?

bonapart you can see that i tried all versions but my response is yes. psx4m 0.43 normal version without gui . very fast but with gui 0.3 are very slow . psx4m 0.43 gamegripper version are very fast but with gui 0.3 are more slow.


psx4m 0.43 fast

gui 0.3 can use and configurate keys and use ps3 sixaxis configurate ok

gui 0.3 slow

optimize gui?

in fact gui is separate program that only start psx4m, if it get a lot of mem or cpu i can make switch that close gui after pushing start... but i really think that it can't get so much mem or cpu so psx4m makes slower...

Can anyone help me please? I can not get this to work. Am I missing something simple. This is what I did. I installed psx4m 0.4.3-1 then I installed psx4m-gui 0.3 and copied scph1001.bin to n900 directory. Then I stated the gui and configured keys (not all of them like r1,r2 ect only arrow-keys and other four) and selected my game from the list (Crash team racing.iso) that is in the n900 directory too. But here is my problem. When I press start nothing happens. psx4m-gui freezes and I can not close it. I have to force end task. And after the app is closed the cpu usage is still running at 100%. So I have to restart the phone to get it to normal state. DID i miss some step?? I do not know what to do. :(

luketanti everything looks ok. Did you try to run other games then Crash Team Racing?

Yes I tried Ace combat 2 and 102 dalmatians and even if I do not select a game and press run it shows the same thing.

hi! when i click on configure keys, it show me a blank popup named psx4m-gui in top but nothing to change... what i can do? what is standard keys?

edit: can't this gui browse folder?

zarkokn, no errors was shown? i guess that you have permission error(how to repair in faq)

this gui can't browse folders, just using one, menu->options->select directory(lowest action)

luketanti: do you have pr1.3 ? it seem that psx4m just do not initialize

Yes I have PR1.3 I uninstalled the gui and tried with xterm. Now the sysntoms are i can here sound of the bios only not the sound of the game and the display is all white. Then the cpu is 100% just as the gui. But then if I do ctrl and c the xterm show that the process ended and the cpu usage is back to normal.

magik i saw your video crash bandicot and run speed ok but i tried tony hawk 4 wihout gui and run very fast and with gui 0.3 are very slow. i tried any games and equal. i think that it is because each game run different .



edit:

magic try play crash bandicot with psx4m 0.43 gamegripper gui version with keyboard cycle 3-4 frameskip 10/11 and look the speed .

Hey guys, I've just got my n900 and tried to use this but I have a problem. I'm thinking it's with the game though. It's an img of Final Fantasy VIII, I start it from the command line and it all works fine, aside from the buttons. I've mapped my keys with the GUI but the only one it responds to is quit. I'm sorry if this issue has been addressed.

Moved the image to the MyDocs folder and ran it with the GUI, works fine now!

ive got psx4m 0.4.3-1 installed with psx4m-gui now

im on pr1.2 still and find that the games run really slow regardless of what cyclemultiplier or frameskip are set?

it worked pretty full speed on 0.4.3

any ideas cheers

0.4.3 and 0.4.3-1 is the same, last one just unlocked save\load and it's not work, maybe you have slow-down by gui as samipower? try run from x-term

bonapart , psx4m 0.43 by xterminal or psx4m 0.43 gamegripper version keys with gui game gripper run two versions very fast , i tried and tried and run slow with gui 0.3, yes crash bandicot run correct but it is very rare i tried 20 games and forever with gui 0.3 slow and fast without gui 0.3

the better solution with graphic gui psx4m 0.43 gamegripper version

, gui 0.3 can play and redefined keys in ps3 pad or keyboard

this is well but playing slow .

the perfect will be fast and full screen with ps3 gamepad

and if any person ask, psx4droid latest version 1.7 more slow that psx4all maemo but without graphic bugs.

psx4m 0.4.3-5 already in devel
it's worked.saving and loading states work. but sound will be undefined so sound lagging after loading state will be more unpredictable.
fullscreen work.
psx4m-gui updated to 0.4, with support of new features psx4m and some bug fixes.
