Re: Quake 3 on N900
guys, please help me. (and forgive me for my terrible english)
the quake 2 and 3 is installed already, and both of them is run fine in past. then i install the power kernel (power47). but the quakes not work after installing. The games were uninstalled, and re-Installed, but still not worked. all graphic driver is installed. Switching back to outdated (and depreciated, due to missing HEN modules) kernel is hardly a solution...

however, the open arena runs fine.
i do not see why not run the Q3 and Q2. older kernel reflash did not help. i like the v47, because its more responsive as the default kernel and everything else is working fine with v47, except this two. (and in the webos game "avatar" i have texture anomalies, but this is widespread problem i guess) |

I installed quake 3 and it worked. Only i could'nt install any applications anymore so i unistalled it at the download manager. But it's still the same , i cant install anything.
EDIT: i Installed Midnight commander , but if i want to delete /baseq3/ it says permission denied. How can i delete this file? Anyone? |

open terminal
get root acess type "mc" search the q3 data, etc, and delete it type "exit" type "purge ioquake3" type "apt-get update" type "apt-get autoremove" type "apt-get purge" type "reboot" i hope it helps |

make sure you have original quake 3 cd and copy the .pk3 files (you should have pak0.pk3 to pak8.pk3) to /home/user/.q3a/baseq3/ folder
install ioquake3 from repositories and you should be done :) |
