Is that 9.9.2012 24:00 (UTC) ?

Or, basically, is this countdown right ? :)

Ah thank you for creating that countdown, wish I could embed that somewhere. Yep, the deadline is tomorrow night midnight (UTC time).

Is that countdown right? It is counting down until midnight London time, but we're currently in BST, and London Time != UTC (i think...i may ofcourse be all wrong and confused! ;)

This is the only image based one I've been able to find:

Looks very 1990s :p
EDIT: updated counter to UTC

well spotted! Sorry Martin, could you make us another one but with UTC time? London time is an hour off UTC :)

I still haven't had any luck. Thanks for the suggestions though, I appreciate the help. For now I just opened an Announce thread for it with a link to download the deb.

I would like for it to be in the repo, but I've been pulling my hair out about it not working but am about to just give up. There is only 1 .changes file generated and not matter how I edit it the upload assistant won't accept it :(

Re: 2012 Coding Competition

Hi guys, some brave N9 testers need for testing an untested deb - adityamhatre has sent me his first application as a deb. He doesn't have a device, but it runs on the Qt SDK simulator. I tested it on my N950 but it only loads up a blank screen. It may be a packaging issue rather than a code issue, but that's as far as I have got in testing it at the moment.

(:edit) thedead1440 has kindly uploaded the deb to his dropbox account http://db.tt/zsxnbC7D (file size 719KB) if anyone with a N9 would like to try it and see if they have more luck on their handset. Please remember, before installing, that this is untested code and you should be prepared for any eventuality!

Instead of a blank screen, you should be seeing this menu loading http://kojacker.net/blog/wp-content/...012/09/rc1.png

I've replied to his email to advise him of the problem and hopefully it'll be ok in time for submission tonight.

That's not a noob question at all sifo! If woody is able to make the council voting mechanism work for us, we'll hopefully be using the same procedure for choosing our favorite apps. Everyone will get an email from maemo.org with an individual unique token and a web page link to cast their vote. You then enter your token and make your choices. Don't worry, it's really easy :)

If we cant use the council voting mechanism we'll probably have to use forum polls, which is just the same as any other thread with a poll you see on here.

Sounds really frustrating :( Could you copy and paste the autobuilder fail log and attach the changes file to a post and maybe we can try to narrow it down? Probably better to add it to your announce thread (more people will see it there), and link us to it.

Kojacker,

Could you upload the .deb file for testing somewhere else as the current link just refuses to be downloaded on the n9... The stock browser loads the link 40% but the file never starts downloading too...

Thanks

Hmm.. sure, but I don't know where.. It's too large to attach to a post, and the only other file storage thing i got is photobucket and that wont accept the file type. Any suggestions for a quick and free storage solution?
