Few days ago Tomi Pienimäki tweeted "We're planning to reveal engine co-operation later, but ok I admit it. I argue this engine co-oper is unlike in the indstry :)"

taking a wild guess, he means something like the engines of the firefighters? which means they will grow region by region?

I take it to mean he's talking about their SoC partner, sigh, I hope it's not STE*, we had the strongest hints it was for the longest time.
If it is them, I hope they can somehow manage to "keep their head above water" & be a good supplier/partner.

intel is unlike in the mobile market.

Or he mean manugfactoring Nokia, LG or HTC.

is there any possibility that they could turn ste's soc's into their own soc's? somehow buy ste?

Nokia doesn't make any SoCs as far as I know, so he couldn't mean Nokia.

I doubt they have resources for that. It could cost more than a billion, and they are a tiny startup.

I meant if they theye soon will announce who is they manufactorying partner it could be some what I listed or I forgoy huwai to ofcourse...

But if SoC he talks about its probadly intel who is "unlike"

LOL if those big companys like ericsson, nokia.or huwai doesn't think the SoC is worth continue development it would be plain stupid dir a startup company to buy the SoC. And btw where should they get the money? AFAIK jolla will start search for more capital in june. So we doesn't even know if jolla survives 2014.

they first have to release something that success then they may start think about "buy something"
