Time to dig into the subject of the week...MWC.

Anyone can find any info about Jolla on MWC site? I cant. Do they have a booth or Will they Simply Run its own mini event Outside the main area. Who is there except Dr jolla? Would be nice if the tablet was available in device zone,,,

It would be a Perfect opportunity to appear with tablets and release date and future plans of the tablet sales...Press and geeks are available.

I'm pretty sure we will see sail 2 and The missing tablet appear in video but will we also hear an release shipping date? I think so....I would like to have it before 27 of July... So MWC is our last hope for a July release. Let's hope the screen is working now.

We already got a mail, this week, where they stated that they still have issues with the screen and they still is working with manufactor to solve it.

And now people expect tablet shipment announcement on MWC?

Now tell me how on earth would a MWC event change the fact that they still has problems with screen?

My guess that event is about that X company starting to sell Sailfishos phone in India. Nothing less nothing more. Of course that's good for the company, but you guys have to learn from history and stop being so naive.

Or the other way around: Continue be disappointed if you want to or accept the fact and wait until screen problem gets solved.

Licensing announcement is already a done deal. We are basically focusing on the tablet in this thread.

1. Sure, we got a mail and most certainly it sounds like July is impossible ...but July is not over until the fat jolla sings...and in the mail they are saying MAY(not the month) so someone within jolla still thinks it may be an option to ship in end July.

2. It's not confirmed yet...

3. We don't know what kind of quality issue they are working on, how far they have come to a final solution. It could everything from a tiny one...to a huge one. If it's tiny it could have been solved by now. We don't know. So...

4. No one said that MWC will change the situation in any way. It's just...if you have something to show off, or announce in July...MWC is the place to do it.


So one can dream until it's game over. But sure, the chance is slim.

It looks like they will use a sane choice this time - LVM with EXT4. Also based comments from the FOSDEM community roundtable they will probably use LUKS for encryption.

Well if release date, Aug 30 2015 is correct, then I suspect that those that participated in the indiegogo campaign will get it sooner.
