Guys this aint a phone its a flippin machine. It just oozes class once you turn it on. Just because it hasn't got the snapdragon processor like the hd2 don't mean its slow. In fact it is like a rocket, so responsive. Even with my Orange's 3g internet, it effortlessly opens up web pages. The keyboard design is a bit iffy but otherwise it feels like I own the best phone EVER created. Any questions please ask.

don't get too excited.

i got my phone last friday, it doesn't work with my 3 sim as yet, so was quite happy to wait for new firmware. meantime i've just been using it for surfing and playing about.

today, i found out the microphone doesn't work at all.

OMFG! :D UPS left it sitting outside the door of my apartment. Luckily, I live in a posh part of town (Har har).

This device is bloody gorgeous. Its tiny! I thought everyone was saying it is huge, bloated etc?! Very good touch responsiveness...not quite Capacitive but near as damn it. Oh, and my mic works.

Can't find my WLAN network, but can find everyone elses in the building, which is a little strange....I'm sure I'll work that out later.

Off to play :D :D :D

Regent street have a demo one around a guy neck at the moment. I went in this afternoon and they said they have not got the stock in yet but they will have it for tomorrow!

Mine arrived about an hour ago, been playing with it non-stop, mic, tv out, GPS and 3G works. Its all groovy, very impressed!

I've just talked to CS over at expansys.com and they said they should finally have it in stock in 6 days, after getting postponed over and over again. So I went with them and placed the order. I hope they'll ship it in a week or so! *fingers crossed*

Am I alone in finding it a little bit unfinished? No real user guide, hardly any ringtones, PCSuite integration incomplete...

The user guide's online (as it has been with most of the recent electronics devices I've bought). The supplied ringtone selection isn't great, but doesn't look much different from any other phone I've bought.

The PC Suite integration I'd agree with - there's a fair bit lacking there. Overall, yes, it seems a bit rushed. I'd rather they did that then hold it back another 6 months though.

I believe the 'problem' is that it's 6.4mm thicker than an iPhone.

Just heard over the 'phone from a chap working at the Nokia Store that the pre-orders will be available from 10am tomorrow morning, 4th December.

So I says, "You must, therefore, actually have them in now? [Thursday, 3rd December, 5:25pm]", to which he replied,
"Yes we do.... but we are not selling them until tomorrow."

I then had him double check and confirm that I will get one tomorrow - wish granted!:D

I didn't get to use my "Hi UPS please knock loud - I am in and expecting you" note I'd printed out!
So... I need to hunt out that check list so I test everything is as it should be. Fingers crossed.

Hey Guys

I got my N900 yesterday! The microphone works fine however I have noticed a slight problem with the screen. There is a stuck pixel (white) and dead pixel (black). They are obviously very small, but on close inspection you can notice them. Nonetheless I am upset as I spent over £500 on this device. Does anyone know Nokia Online UK's return policy because im leaving on holiday on Sunday for a few weeks.

Hi Guys I am new to the forum, I have been reading with interest your posts over the last few days. Really to gain understanding about peoples experience with ordering the N900 and also to check how the deliveries are going. I have not placed an order just yet as I am unsure as to which way to run with my order, I live in Newcastle in the UK I have just bought out my 02 contract by selling my N96.

I was originally going for the Iphone but touch screen isn’t for me, then I liked the Palm pre but had play with it and feel it just wouldn’t last the 2 years on contract,

So here I am with the N900 and I am 99.9% certain it’s the fone I want.

My query is this I am trying to avoid using MPD as lots people have advised against it.

Can anybody advise when the likes of VODAFONE Store will receive the fone or any other u.k retailer like mobiles.co.uj and or dialaphone?

What a complete Horlicks. Received 4 identical emails advising me that Nokia Stores would be selling them (limited stocks) today.

No one, it appears, has told the store about this and they are saying they have no firm details but will take a deposit.

I am now past caring and considering other options as I am not used to be toyed with like this by what i mistakenly thought was a reputable company.

Did anyone figure out if there was any difference between Express/Standard delivery in terms of delivery time when shipped out the same day?

Yes - Express should be next day, Standard is always at least 2 days. Mine (Standard) shipped over to the UK with a load of others, but then just sat there for about 18 hours, whereas the Express ones went straight out for delivery.
