hmmm small store? but that doesnt sound right.... i know it's hard to believe them at the best of times, but that sounds odd....
Call em tomorrow and ask the same question, see what you get :)

That's ridiculous!! 10 a day as well? That's pretty damn slow... surely they can manage more than just over ONE an hour... and surely there's more than 1 person doing them?! Lol...

At least Banbury said they'd actually send mine out today! Guessing that as they called me, they were processing me at that moment in time...That goes against all their previous emails too about "5 working days"...

Yeah, will give them a buzz. It is a fairly small store yes, but not as small as the Basingstoke one; that one was built in a cupboard! :D

Will post back if I get any more info.

Does MPD call at the stage of Pending stock or Ready for dispatch? has someone had a call after status being ready for dispatch?

Report them to head office. their regonal manager will lay the smack down on them since its been promised 5 workings days.

You pay for next-day delivery you do not expect them to twiddle their thumbs for days.

Probably right. Will give them a buzz tomorrow and see if they can at least be arsed to look through the orders and see if mine is there. If it is I'll try and pop in to get it in person.

Was next day special delivery for me, you may get a suprise tomorrow, as Royal mail are pushing sat deliveries due to xmas at the mo - would at least expect it by monday :) - assuming they post it tonight or tomorrow?

That's good news...and Tuesday is utter nonsense. If it goes out tonight, you'll get it on Saturday or Monday at the latest as its Special Delivery (guaranteed next day although no guarantee for Saturday)...

Do you know which store that was?

And the usuals please - order date, contract, status on your account etc etc...

I have just spoken with T-Mobile UK directly from my phone on 150, and they have informed me that the latest list of phones to be released and available from them on in the new year has been published today.

The Nokia N900 is on it!!! The gentleman in the upgrades department told me to call back on the 10th of Jan 09 and I can have a free early upgrade!

I'll wait a few weeks then I think.

Just googled the number as I didn't know and it comes out as being Winchester in Hampshire, which is not exactly 5 minutes from me. It's almost 40 miles away from me. I'm sure there must be closer stores.

Just had the call to confirm my card details, say it will be posted today and arrive earliest tomorrow, latest Tuesday. I better bloody not arrive Tuesday after paying for next-day as that deadline would be Monday 1pm.

Hopefully, tomorrow morning 7am.

Also just seen the payment come out of my bank account.

That's the funny thing, they didn't call me on either contact number on my MPD account - they called me on the "existing number" I provided when applying for the T-Mobile contract.

Presumably that is the number which secures my new contract credit check (basically T-Mobile didn't have to do one as I already had an active line with them) so kinda makes sense to use that one I suppose.

Status still on "Ready to Despatch" though and no new line showing up on my T-Mobile account yet. Still, now the money is out I am pretty sure it will ship as promised.

Just got the credit check phone call from a nice MPD person, yes it applies to debit cards too..

Only the people who ordered early September had theirs shipped yesterday.
Mine was ordered at the end of September, and shipped out today, and shipped before I received the phone call.

He seemed to think it would be unlikely to reach mid wales tomorrow, promised it would get their by tuesday latest, but seemed confident that it would get here on monday.

I asked him if it would be a relief to get all the n900 pre-orders shipped, and he said; "you have no idea!", but he also wanted it done because he wants one but cannot have one as an employee until pre-orders are met.

He also explained that the reason they are late is because the shipment that was meant to go to MPD at the start of November instead got re-directed to america my Nokia, leaving MPD and nokia stores short.

We have been saying that Nokia needs to take the american smart-phone market seriously, well we are living with the consequences of precisely that.

So long story short; it looks like monday for me.

Nope, the ones posted on here who got them today were early OCTOBER.

Before anyone asks, I have no clue which store called me as I never thought to ask. Hopefully I can tell you tomorrow. ;)

Yet more MPD inconsistency/lies/misinformation...! I wouldn't expect anything less!

Although there may be different policies for dealing with orders for different stores...

Its amazing how much better I feel having had that call, I had not realised how tense I had gotten. Feels like a huge weight off my shoulders, mental.

a) No (going to voda ,well got the email today but no phone, porting happens during working days only)

I think its safe to say that im not alone when i say this is the first and FINAL time i ever do business with MPD. been problem after problem and even tho they are getting deliveries out the door now they still dont know whats going on and at the rate of 10 a day they certainly wont be sticking to that 5 working days promise. The company is a shambles!

I kinda wish mine was just now and not so early this morning... I've spent the day refreshing email inbox and MPD status... No change... Just worrying until tomorrow!

I think its just about pub-time... Will report back tomorrow, hopefully from my N900!
