Nah, they are now trying to develop a tool to gather all of the funders details, so we are back to "soon" status.

I got the email, too - so it should not be an indicator if you'll get a tablet or not :)

Thanks for the report.

I just checked with Jolla Care and it indeed is not an indication of (not) getting the tablet.

So hope rises, just like the opportunity cost of waiting, while watching the Taobao tablet price go up :)

EDIT:
Here is the reply from Jolla Care to my question if receiving the e-mail means that I am not eligible for receiving the tablet:

Quote:

Hello.

The message was sent just to alert you to the latest status of the refund effort.

You and other backers will receive eventually receive an email with instructions for what to do to claim the refund.

So, not quite yet.

Sincerely,
Jolla Customer Care
(shared with the kind permission from Jolla Care)

Re: The Future of Jolla's Tablet

Was wondering how many of the tablets are actually earmarked for the indiegogo folks. Presumably far more than 500 folks signed up via the crowd source before the tablet was available from Jolla shop. Is that right? Then all tablets should go to indiegogo folks if first come first serve holds. Folks that ordered via Jolla shop should only get refund...

The bulk of the tablets was sold via Indiegogo. I think there were around 10000 tablet sold over there. I do not think the pre-sales were for more than an additional 1000 devices.

I would not be so sure as I have received that email while I have received two days ago the tablet.
So I guess that this message is sent to all IGG contributors and not only those not receiving the tablet

same here!!!

Well, I'm an IGG contributor that hasn't gotten a tablet, a refund or an email. Although any of those could have gotten lost somewhere . . .

My email showed up in a gmail promotions folder. Might check junk or spam folder.

Found it in junk not that the mail brings anything new to table but It might wake up some backers who lost hope long ago..

Still can't believe Jolla can only refund via PayPal :(
