Can anybody speculate when we'll have "Triple Boot" Capabilities? Maemo, Meego and NITDROID?

Re: Nitdroid today, auto-installer and 1st impression and 0.0.8 installation
the correct way to use nitdroid, boot up nitdroid, kill ALL task, then start.
Of course, it depends what have you installed. For myself, I have 200+apps installed, chances are there are quite some apps started and running in the background, compounded by the 'myth' perpetuated from android, "never close any apps, so they are always ready" it drags the whole system down. I found out you just have to "kill all" before start, the world is much more beautiful. There is an app to manage starting app if you would like to decide which app should start 1st. One question, if anybody knows. I have been slowly 'trained' to use audio to do my search job and has getting close to 99% accuracy and has since rarely use my keyboard, both hardware or onscreen or graffiti, for search. I am getting more and more greedy now. I want to know how can I post by using the dictation. One way I can think of is kind of stupid, is dictated as a note and copy and paste to post. I wonder whether there is any app, not necessary android that allows posting using audio rather than keyboard. Is that called blogging? Yes, anyone aware of using audio to blog? TIA, bun |
Re: Nitdroid today, auto-installer and 1st impression and 0.0.8 installation
I dont get it.
I killed all app process, and refreshed, it slowly repopulated with lots of apps open. They are not the same apps, but will repopulate to about a full screen. Looks like if an app is installed, nitdroid will get it running on the background, whether you open it or not. That is weird. I now uninstall apps that I dont use alot and just leave it in sdcard, and figure out to install when needed. Comments? bun |
Re: Nitdroid today, auto-installer and 1st impression and 0.0.8 installation
Itīs an Froyo "feature". It doesnīt lives well with task managers, and reopen all the apps that a task manager closes.
NITDroid isnīt the culprit. |
Re: Nitdroid today, auto-installer and 1st impression and 0.0.8 installation
Yes, I understand that, it is a Froyo feature, not limited to nitdroid. So does the airplane bug and the call bug, surprisingly, also a Froyo feature, not from the nitdroid development team. Surprise.
Well, I sure do not like that feature, it heats up the N900, use battery and finally crashs the nitdroid. Any way out? Currently I keeps on uninstall seldom used apps, but not ALL apps can be uninstalled, like the one comes with Froyo, Amazon mp3, it refused to uninstall. Any how, my common sense, this feature kills battery/memory, not true? Another question, some apps can put an icon on the top border, which allows one to use any time they want, like Advance taskman, taskman apps, etc, what do you call that feature, I want to look for that feature for BT/wifi apps so that I can open/close wifi/BT without having to get out of an app. bun |
Re: Nitdroid today, auto-installer and 1st impression and 0.0.8 installation
Without task manager, how do you know you are low on memory? Just run any stream TV program. If it runs stuttering, go kill all apps, and re-start your tv program, it runs 10X better.
