Online status is Ready for despatch...I havnt received any email either but the guy said they posted my phone and i can expect delivery tomorrow. when asked abt the royal mail tracking no, he said the postage is dealt by some body else in the office and he only deals with the processing of phones and contracts, so he havnt got any info. I asked him how do u know it was posted, then he said coz I sent for postage so I know it was posted.

Pub time is beckoning me too. gonna go get me some beers in a couple hours. Not looking forward to the headache tomorrow! But very much looking forward to the n900 that might be making its way to my door! (i hope)

Well I've just had a call and I'm fuming. I ordered on the 23rd September, there's no problem or issue with my card and my phone has still not been sent out. The little tw@ at mdp told me that they were calling everybody who'd placed an order with a credit card. I was so furious I could barely speak.

They promised it would be sent ouot today but I doubt I'll se it until next week. I am absolutely furious!!!!

As i said a moment ago the company is a total shambles. if my n900 isnt delivered within these 5 working days promised i feel a call to trading standards happening.

The guy when he called me said as i pre-ordered more than a month a go (8/10/09) need to take my card details again. It was a debit card and its for the £67 as im on a 12month contract with voda. im not sure if i will receive 2morow as the status still says ready for despatch and no email either...hopefully monday and im at work for 12hrs.

Still at least you had a phone call, my contract ran out and thats the number i gave ive only just updated my contact details on MPD site so god knows if they have tried to phone me today or not or if they ever will now.

Thing is i cant contact them either
no live chat and there phone number doesnt connect :mad:

yeah exactly!
Is it so hard for them to sort this out???!
when i was managing a warehouse in a retail store, i'd have collections for delivery go out all the time. and not small stuff, large kitchen appliances and the like. We'd EASILY get 10 processed and loaded onto the truck within 20 mins not a whole f***c.king day!!!

EDIT: and that 20 mins is generous estimate. It wasnt un common for it to be done in half that time!

Did anyone receive their phone without having received a call from MPD?
Do you only get a call from MPD if you have to pay some £ for the phone ie not free on contract?

Mine has been 'ready for despatch' since yesterday. But no call yet and no phone either. Free on an 18mth T-Mob contract.

Joining the same boat as you guys, 18th of October.

No call, just 'ready to dispatch'. I picked the 12 month contract on T Mob with a £53 payment for the phone. I used a debit card and already had a T Mobile line, so may not get a call.

Are you sure this is a ligit email? any emails ive had from MPD state Nokia Retail and dont mention MPD hmmmmmm....??

I think they must just have them randomly at different shops. Don't forget there are MPD workers in Nokia shops as well.there doesn't seem to be much correlation between where the customer lives and the shop they are sent from.

Lucky you, mate! Regrettably, I start swithing my N900 mindset to next week, rather than this weekend, however your case proves there is still a hope for tomorrow. ;)
