hmm i see
it's the same as mine , i just thought that there are differences

anyway i'm still having the problem

these 2 packages are needed for me by nokia repo to update CSSU

maemosec-certman-applet
libmaemosec-certan-applet0

----------

i tried FAM (it has proxy option)
and

fapt-get update # failed 403 error
fatp-get install -d maemosec-certman-applet libmaemosec-certan-applet0 # of course not found :(


so can some one drop me these 2 packages ?
and i will place them at /var/cache/apt/archives
then i will update

every thing should go well without nokia repo

HAM says no updates available. I have the repository:

Community SSU (testing)
http://repository.maemo.org/community-testing/
fremantle
free non-free

What's wrong?

i have been tryin to update my CSSU but it tells me i must back up and connect my phone to nokia pc suite before i can update i have connected it to nokia pc suite yet it stil doesnt update. plz can some1 tell me wat im doing wrong?

I had the same problem with HAM, update went without a problem with FAM. As previously said in this thread, the update is tested only with HAM, so use FAM on your on risk.

I should disconnect from pc
reboot
open xterm with root
apt-get update
apt-get upgrade

It worked fine for me

I really don't like these type of instructions... Let me derive it into a much safer way...

open xterm with root
apt-get update
apt-get install mp-fremantle-community*

i did as u instructed but its says

for some reason my extras testing,devel and cssu catalogues showed error in loading.I tried again and was happy to see the update.Initially HAM updated every thing.I closed that ,opened X terminal ,and apt-get upgraded.Took battery out for few seconds.Switched on.The first change i noticed is GPS lock was very fast(4 secs) in Modrana.Thanks for the update.
