Damn, I so nearly ordered from expansys, but play.com was £30 less, so I'll be in for a 3 week longer wait according to their website

I'm amazed but my Amazon order (17th Oct) is still there! And shows est delivery for 2nd November. Even though you can no longer pre-order.

Having slept on it, I've decided that for now I'm going to believe that Amazon reached as many pre-orders as their quota, and while they will still have devices to ship for the preorders, but they cannot get anything resembling a straight answer from nokia about when they might ever get any more. I am trying awfully hard not to believe that their sudden change of staus on the website was caused by the arrival of n900s in their warehouse last night... which would mean it might ship today ON MY BIRTHDAY!!!! (I do wish they'd stop sending me advertising emails though - my heart can't stand it!)

Yeah I know. I call them a few times and they always tell me that they will ship 2nd week of november, it might be at the end of the second week so that correspond to november 15th as they probably do not ship on week end. I am from Canada and they don't accept order from other Country. In Canada there is no date set that's mean over 6 months or years... I bought mine from ebay that's coming from nokia usa apparently the day after they are out. Everybody is waiting desperetly for that phone

... but my current contract runs out on 18th November, so being sensible about the whole thing, it shouldn't bother me much, as I've not even got a new SIM to put in it yet.... but I want my shiny new toy!
