No, to really validate the safety of the overcloking you need to transfer files from and to the device, a bit like a burn test but for files.

loaded fine and seems ok will have to test for more though 900mhz was really stable on mine though

Now we need a cpu burn in app for the N900. =)

Something like Prime95 or OCCT to test the stability at full load for 5mins, 10mins etc.

delete the ".txt" file extension.

i would but the .txt extension isnt there but its still recognised as a txt file ?

thats what i did... put files on my n900 such as modified keyboard mapping, custom LED/vibate, custom app icons, custom status area icons etc etc etc

By default, Windows is setup to not show extensions of known file types.
You will need to disable this feature in explorer options to see the extension.

Im just trying some other speeds, started out with 800mhz, now trying 700mhz and next will try the 750mhz and then settle for 1 of the 3, but going from 800 to 700 theres a noticable speed decrease, so will flash the 750 file in a bit after sunday roast.
