Ummmm yea I think The previous one looked well, clean and tidy. If the space is filled it's gonna look annoyingly packed.

Ok, tried to have a more button-like look for likes and comments by (from top down)
a) adding a slim dark blue border
b) adding a small shadow
c) adding a color gradient
I think for a button look and feel it is also important to have some kind of action, like changing to a darker shade on press.

Oh, and added Jessie's girl in order to get a more real life look, hope she doesn´t mind :D

Nice mockups,
IMO Name under pic

Also possibility to open status update comments as folder trees in _same_ view would be nice.

Don't think this is feasible as it will lead to problems with fitting long names under the pic...
Even with a break between first and last name it would require a quite small font size with long names or think of Longname A posted to Longname B's wall

While I believe all risks should be mentioned, I was wondering how you decided this might cause problems with the whole device :p

!!! CAUTION !!!

This project is still in development stage, which means there might still be some risks, downsides and issues to be solved before it is ready for the average user... Please read this summary carefully and evaluate the risks involved for yourself! (Keep in mind that this can cause problems for the phone. Backup your data, backup your config (apps > system > backup) and know how to reflash)

Whatever you do, you are doing it at your own risk!
Anyway, Facebook videos now play inside the app, I'll edit the wishlist on the wiki and strike "todos" as they're added, will then move them to the changelog when a release is made :)

Thanks for starting the wiki page :D

Haha, this is just a default disclaimer for extras-devel I copied from somewhere, just to be on the safe side
But feel free to change it to whatever seems more appropriate :D

Nice, and me (and hopefully others) will try helping keeping the wiki up to date ;)

K guys, here is another quick shot of a mockup.
Think it is obvious that I was inspired by the sweet UI of cutetube-QML created by the great Marxian :D, so all creativity credits go to him ;)
(Hope you don't mind Marxian)
As some people stated they would prefer a dark UI, I decided to stick with the dark theme of cutetube-QML, but I think a similar layout can also be created using a white and blue theme (which I personally would still prefer ;-) ).
This time I also tried to have a less FB-oriented, more experimental UI concept (again somewhat adopted from Marxian ;-) ), not sure if its really usable though (srcolling in the "small" boxes might be hard as well as finding a spot for tapping for scrolling to posts further down).

Bottom line, in the first place, I see this as an experiment to see what might be possible and usable or not and for inspiration for more ideas (from you guys :p).

Bug!
you can start multiple Socialty, when have start Socialty and minimize it. And you press on the icon I app menu the Socialty starts again instead of plop it minimized. Can you fix that? :D

That's very cool Reflektorfalke. I like it very much. However I must say that a top priority should be performance and usability. If it can be achieved with that design the app would be really nice.

I still like the original app though...
