If you wanna check if they shipped the order use your order ID on UPS as a reference and it should bring it up, if they are telling the truth that is

i think Davis is lying. I just called nokiausa and i asked her if i order today when will i get. She said end of november and she doesn't know the exact date. And I told her about Davis and she just keeps on saying end of november

They told me enough to fulfill their first pre-order batch, and about 1/4 of their second batch. I have no idea of the quantity their is for each batch.

One of the possibilities why Italy now have the N900 first as the 3 users seems to be unaffected there.

My thought is that Nokia is pushing back the delivery date for everyone else because this shortens the amount of time 3 users in these affected countries have to wait to use the N900.

Very good move by Nokia!

One way to get a rough idea, tho could get annoying.

MPD: 1
everybody could add one to the count if with mpd/nokia retail
if not add your retailer and start new count.

Could get annoying with all the reposts tho so maybe not a great idea but hey might gives a vague clue how many each retailer is gonna have to get shipped.

Why dont we just rob Nokia and get the N900 ourselfes if Nokia are acting as ******ed babies and can't keep their promise and spit in our face all the time with their attitude? After all that we should get the device for free.

Hey everybody calm down a bit, tension is getting extremely high here. I can see every body is in fire or extreme fire to get their N900. Peter said during november that mean till the last day of November. I am waiting too even longer because I bought mine from ebay in US because it is not avalaible in Canada. The wait is raging but it will get there soon. I think it is question of days it is imminent.

They're not the same.

MobilePhonesDirect is the same as Nokia Retail
But Nokia Online Store (shop.nokia.co.uk) is independent to the other 2 mentioned above.

I got my pre-order from Nokia Online Store and did not receive such email. By the way I think the email was very badly written, does not look prefessional at all!

Davis is a lying piece of Sh*T. I suspect he is 99.999% Silicon anyhow. I called them. They said it started shipping last week. I said, "Shipping where?"

He said, here.

I said, can I order today and have it tomorrow?

No, you can get it next week.

He says, they started shipping pre-orders last week, what a douche!

We'll know when it ships, we will be deluged with REAL tracking info within milli-seconds!

Other than for entertainment value, there is no reason to contact Nokia, unless you want to find out what is not the truth.

I agree and also seems quite clearly an automated email.
Which does beg the question are they really going to be able to ship everyones pre-orders on the 3rd?! I didnt pre-order till 8th november yet this email seems to make out that i'm somehow one if the priority orders. Can see many more complaints happening if they dont pull this one out of the bag!

Ok, so then we just need to figure out the migration patterns of a pallet of N900s. It's winter in the US so they've migrated to Italy... possibly carrying coconuts? Maybe they'll migrate back to the US in the spring. Provided they're not Afican N900s. I heard those are non-migratory... :confused:

I would say that all of you who are ordered your n900 through Nokias official e-stores, are getting your device before the end of this month (like they said in PR). Those who are ordered through resellers (like Amazon, MPD etc) are getting it a week later or so. That`s what business is all about- support your own relatives. And if Amazon or MPD or someone else is pushing continuesly their date back, then it is them who are lieing to you, not Nokia. It`s because you are bombing them with e-mails and they are affraid that you will cancel your order if you find out that Nokias official stores will be selling it earlier than they will. Basically they are shifting all guilt on Nokia altough they know how it works!

It seams nowadays more and more fresh users join this forum and tell us Nokia isn't responsible for all the delays and never said anything wrong ... really interesting ... what does nokia pay for that?

They haven't pay anything to Nokia..yet, money is only taken from the account when the delivery is made.

People who pre-ordered through Dell using that 'special' coupon are going to have their order's canceled due to the 'illegal' use of the coupon stated by Dell.

I think Dell issued that coupon but failed to exclude phones from it. Either way screw Dell, they charge tax so I'll stick with Amazon and the $509 price.

I called Dell and spoke to someone above a cs rep, I was told Nov 24th they expect shipment from Nokia.
