Re: Samsung Galaxy Note
My screen is not Tip Top on my old one.

Re: Samsung Galaxy Note
It would be a nice thing if the 3100 mAh battery could be backward compatible with the Note 1. 20% more - not bad

Re: Samsung Galaxy Note
A great thing is that the note II has some kind of alarm if you leave the s-pen behind enemy lines. I lost both the one to n900 and to my note.
anyone know how that is working? when does the note II indicate the the spen is missing? |

Good question, I've asked the same thing. Is a large screen better than a qwerty for typing? -No, but it's close enough with Swype and SwiftKey. Is a large screen better for gaming than a smaller one with qwerty? -Not really. Maybe in some instances, but qwerty tactile is awesome. Is a large screen better "in general" than a smaller one with qwerty? -Yes, slightly. Now what about a large screen with a PEN ? -Yes, it's even better, no doubt. What if the keyboard is modular, can be swapped out for an extended battery or gamepad with joysticks? -Hmmm, good question. I think the flexibility of the modular design claims the win, especially since the large "phablet" cant have a portable joysticks/gamepad. What if there's a game controller (eg Datel TurboFire2) which can dock the "phablet" in, what would be better that, or modular? --Impossible question. One would be better video and sketching wise, the other better portability wise and gaming. But both solutions very competent in all situations. Even I can't decide. |
Re: Samsung Galaxy Note

Re: Samsung Galaxy Note
Whatever ROM you're using, try Gavin Lewarne's HydraCore kernel.
It's devilishly fast, can overclock & undervolt your device, is stable, did I say it's fast? :-) comes with full sources and scripts to configure and compile. http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1749863 Try it |
Re: Samsung Galaxy Note
Thanks I've been stuck on ANiKernel and AOKP.40 been experiencing some problems recently.
The latest CM9 stable kernel is good, but isn't designed to be OC/UC/UV. By the way, anyone using Jelly Bean? CM10 ? PA1.991 ? JBAOKP ? |

Re: Samsung Galaxy Note
Okay don't use HydraKernel versions lower than v3. There's a bug that causes data corruption.
v3 is online now (as of a couple minutes). Also don't use AOKP version 40 (outdated), or milestone 6 (buggy). Best results: - AOKP v40.1 -HydraKernel v3 (extreme) -SIO or Noop schedulers InteractivX or Abyssplug governors 1.6GHz Max CPU with at least 1300mV voltage 250MHz Min CPU with at least 850mV voltage (more V uses more battery) -GPU keep it at 267MHz@830mV (very efficient) (Manually OC GPU) to 400MHz@1050mV when using ChainFire Engine games, Heavy Flash Games, Emulators etc. = equal performance to the SGS3, with 5hours screen on time. That's crazy!! |
