Well, the way linux uses memory is why you don't see "lot less memory being used". i.e. unused RAM is used as filesystem cache, for good ;). you may want to check swap usage though, it should be down by 20-30 MB.

No I didn't count the cache :) I didn't pay much attention to the swap though, you're right, maybe programs that before were swapped out are now in RAM and that's why the phone lags less too. But besides that, I have the feeling there is definitely an improvement of speed overall. But maybe is just placebo :P

when using HAM i get:
To update your device to this version of the operation system you must use Nokia PC Suite on your PC.
Connect the device to your PC via a USB cable and launch the application.
Problems tab reports:
conflict with application packages libqtm-dev (1.1.0.2-maemo4+m5+0cssu1)

Opera link is not enabled on my device and never was :) Before installing CSSU-Thumb, I was on CSSU-Testing and it never occured at this time.

Everyone have this feeling, and it was answered already, that it's due to new toolchain used for compilation :)

Installed it five days ago, it's excellent job ! My N900 is smoother and better in many ways.
There is just one thing quite annoying, it's there are freezes when I use Opera. They last like 10-20s. I don't think it happens with any other app but I'll pay more attention to it.

Vlad

What exactly is freezing, Opera or the whole device. Did you try to power-cycle it, to see if it helps?

Any idea how to solve this?

@uros,

how about (as root): apt-get remove libqtm-dev
you can try reinstalling again after the update..

No clues for the removal part, but libcurl3 version 7.26.0-1maemo1+cssu1-thumb0 does say it all...
It is the version of libcurl3 from the thumb repository, also readable from the Repositories: line from screenshot2.
But you may ask anyway:eek::D

Quick fix, without libqtm-dev installed flawlessly
