I question how truly important any of this Jolla Tablet stuff is to you. After seeing the input from others, it seems as if the flaws that are inherent in most mobile operating systems are also in Sailfish. There's some workflow issues that need to be worked out, some hardware issues (ex. battery life for instance) that dint the overall experience and so forth. Simply stated, there's still more work to make the Jolla Tablet the best device in comparison to user goals, wants and needs.

Not having an imperfect device... does that really affect you in the same amount of protest you've displayed in this thread

That's my one true question for you. How to break out of being passive-aggressive? Heck if I know.

Damn it! And here I thought it was just to change the ? to !...

All tech are imperfect since they are built by the humans!
The refund/tablet is not important to me personally but it is important for my belief in a future for Jolla!

Have you seen our murder rates here? I get a little bit paranoid just leaving my house. Or staying in it. Or presumably even hovering over it in my jetpack, which may the the only thing even more dangerous than other people.

But anyway, to keep this a little bit on topic: I've been watching PayPal closely, and have received neither Venezuelan drug money nor Finnish tablet refund. And certainly no Russian secret Sailfish payments. (Although as reported earlier, I got my German Diesel hush money in just a few weeks at about the same time I asked for the Jolla refund.)

Part of me will be a little disappointed when it comes. Then I'll no for sure no tablet for me. Right now, it's still Schrodinger's tablet, since I've neither received it nor the money. When the cash shows up, then my last teensy flames of hope will be extinguished.

Have you considered moving to a safer country, like Finland? ;)

I would. Now, about the job situation there... who's hiring and willing to assist with relocation?

Depending on the outcome of the presidential election, I'm giving some serious thought to moving to Europe. Besides having, presumably, a more intelligent leader and the fact that my Jolla phone would get much better data speeds in Europe are there any other advantages in moving to Europe?

Quite a few. I'd just not consider taxes one of those advantages. Folks complain about 33% composite tax (federal and state) in the US. It's oft higher there. Also, gadgets tend to be higher there for the most part. Sure, some are cheaper, but it's those esoteric name brands that geeks love but replace often. Or something like that.

Faster Internet for the most part, better standard of living in most cases, friendlier people*, better beer**, better vacations and better warranties on stuff. I miss living overseas.

* France is excepted from this
** Beer is my real reason to continue living

Belgium, Dutch, German or UK beer = Okidoki

So which country has the combination of lowest taxes, best data speeds, and best beer? Although, I guess if I drink enough beer data speeds won't matter so much at the time.
