Re: Let's talk Nokia stock. Really.
I wonder how the market would react if Nokia announced that they'll abandon 'the all eggs in dismal burning platform basket' smartphone strategy and start releasing all their phones in also dualbooting Android/MeeGo variants.
edit. I think the stock would jump +50% just for the announcement that Elop and half of the board have been fired... |

That's not it at all. Stock market would probably think "this is proof of total strategy failure" and avoid Nokia at all costs.
Smartphone market would buy phones. Nokia still has a rep for making sturdy phones with good cameras for rather cheap. And the phones would get raving tech reviews, like the N900 and N9 did. |

Meego? If N9 is Meego, NOKIA is headed for bankruptcy tomorrow.

Re: Let's talk Nokia stock. Really.
The error Nokia is doing is NOT going all in with WP (smartphone vise), but NOT pricing their handsets competitively. So far the ones switching to Lumia have been the ones bored by iPhone for some years now. Nokia need to get people buying Lumia instead of Android, to boost the WP ecosystem. To do that the prices for the new Lumis series needs to be reduced by 50% and old 7.5/8 lumias must be given away.
Surface will most probably boost the WP ecosystem, but will it be enough, is it too late? This is what Nokia is gambling on right now. |

Sorry I'm a bit late today, but here's today's graph. Helsinki is already closed, so I'll put out the full week view.
