Re: [Announce] Pierogi - a universal infrared remote control app

Re: [Announce] Pierogi - a universal infrared remote control app
Hi Copernicus, thanks a lot for such a wonderful program.
I was wondering if you can add fully working remote set for Toshiba MW20FP3 television set. Current Toshiba code works partially. But the "Menu" is not working with the existing remote. So I am not being able to search for channel (I don't have the original remote). Btw there is a website of a remote control app for symbian device and that app use their own format for the remote control code: http://irremote.psiloc.com/Show.aspx?d=TV I believe that can be converted to the file required by your app. So if you can provide a short tutorial on how to convert that format to your format then people can get codes for their own device themself (if its available there, mine is not available there). Thanks again. |

Re: [Announce] Pierogi - a universal infrared remote control app
Thanks for this great app . But I have one question . Is it possible to implemant a learning mode ? e.g : click from remote control and save keystroke ?
Sorry for my bad english |
Re: [Announce] Pierogi - a universal infrared remote control app
This has been covered before further up in the thread.
The N900 has no IR receiver only a transmitter. It may however be possible to use a USB transceiver but this has yet to be tested. Also this application currently doesn't support learning, so to do this many things will need modifying. |

Re: [Announce] Pierogi - a universal infrared remote control app
Would it be possible to save keysets as "Favorites" with editable names?
For instance, save a reference to Philips TV Keyset 1b as "Work TV Philips TV Keyset 1b", a particular Sony keyset as "Home TV Sony Keyset XXX", a JVC keyset as "Living Room DVD JVC DVD keyset XXX", etc. ? Perhaps they could have a * character appended to the front of the name so that they appear at the top of the keyset lists. Ability to set a default keyset is helpful, but it's difficult to remember which keyset was determined to be appropriate for a device which you haven't gone back to for a while. |
Re: [Announce] Pierogi - a universal infrared remote control app
would it be possible to use this to open/close my garage door?
