Re: Koffice ?? Its been a productive month :)
everything is working for me so far. i did manage to crash the tablet also by trying to visit this site in konqueror. i also found a problem where if you try and edit the taskbar settings, the control panel window will go off the bottom of the screen and thus you can not find the "apply" and "ok" buttons. i had changed the theme from penguinbait's to a default kde theme and was trying to turn on the panel hiding buttons. in addition, i agree that some kind of battery indicator would be very helpful as well.

The default tools are not going to work, but there may be some maemo developers that know how to get at the data? |
Re: Koffice ?? Its been a productive month :)
i saved an image in os2008 on my external memory card. i wanted to open it in kde but i can't find the external card in kde. i opened 'system' and looked in all the directories but the external card is nowhere. also i tried saving the image to my internal card (the same card i am booting from that is running kde) but os2008 says the card is corrupted. the card is obviously not corrupted cause i am booting from it. Any thoughts?

Also from your post above about not being able to see the entire screen for some windows, I've found that some can be made into full screen by using the full screen button on the top of the device (I think the n800 has one). It doesnt work on all windows though so you'll either need to hide the taskbar or just hit enter which will usually select accept. |

Does anyone happen to know if theres a gps application that would work with KDE on the n810 (or n800 with the add on)? The included mapping application that comes with the n810 takes up about 1.5gb for the maps which is stored on the internal card (probably why they made the card an internal 2gb) which I had to clear to make room for KDE. I know maemo mapper isnt quite as large but I've had some issues with using the n810's gps with it (have to start the gps from control panel and leave it open for maemo mapper to find it). And it would be nice to be able to open it from KDE rather than having to exit out back to 2008OS. Maybe this is something you could work on penguinbait when your n810 arrives :D

The fullscreen key is very helpful, as well as the pager. using the pager you can drag windows up on the screen to access the bottoms of them. ;) |

In KDE, When it asks for a username and password (for instance when I try to set up a printer) what should I put? It says username is "user" but I haven't set any passwords or anything.
