I figured it out myself, I just need to install MicroB and now it is working perfectly. Thanks for the great software.:p

Well, it is now an easy-to-use free wifi phone.

EDIT: It still isn't a free phone for us Canadians. Those who want to call us from their landlines have to call a US number or use a call-me button on a web page.

Also 100% free, easy-to-use when connected *via bluetooth* to a free unlimited high speed data plan.

Man, i get about a 1 in 20 hit rate on a connection.

Skype works flawlessly, btw. I guess I'll stick with 2 cents per minute

You mean you have an unlimited high speed data plan that costs nothing extra above and beyond the cost of all the competitors' vanilla voice-only plan?

You probably also have a perpetual motion machine powering your house...

Depends on how much you really talk on the phone. Then again there's bound to be unlimited voice only plans as well.

They will amazingly throw in...

free nights and weekends,
free long distance,
free voice mail,
and free text messaging.
on top of the free unlimited high speed data plan.

ALL for the low, low, price of your vanilla voice-only plan!

I have to relate a funny story. One day I was out of town and my cell phone battery died. I don't have a car-charger because I am rarely in the car. I needed to make a call, and it was impossible to find a pay phone! There were a bunch of wi-fi hotspots around, though, so I spent 30+ minutes configuring RTCOMM, Gizmo, and GC, just to make a 2 minute call!

Data is on EvDO, so it's fast.

It costs $30 a month total and includes 500 minutes talk, 7pm and weekends free, free Sprint to Sprint, Unlimited data, Unlimited text messages, Unlimited picture mail, and free roaming. It also includes some Sprint TV services and Handango stuff. That is the lowest plan level. From there you can go up in minutes for more $. I haven't seen a plan with unlimited data for as cheap anywhere.

You can find info, for how to use the n800, over DUN, without incurring further charges.
